Featuring a cosy fireplace lounge, an Italian restaurant and a hot public bath, Pension Syo is a 5-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. The simply furnished rooms have air conditioning and a TV. Most rooms at Syo Pension are carpeted and have an en suite bathroom. Some rooms have shared bathrooms. All rooms are non-smoking. Hakuba Mitsueda Museum is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Hakuba-mura Olympic Museum and Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort are a 10-minute drive. On-site parking is free. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the lobby. The hotel offers ski equipment hire and ski storage. Breakfast and dinner are served at the hotel’s restaurant, which boasts wide windows and exposed wood beams.

“Couldn’t reccomend Pension syo enough for a group!”
Pension Syo was perfect for everything our group needed. The location was awesome with free shuttles to the hills each day on the door step, the facilities were always clean, free tea and coffee were a bonus! The rooms were spacious and warm, with the common areas feeling like home. Jun was incredible, he looked after us and even dropped up to the bus/ picked up one of our injured snowboarders from the hospital. Everything ran smoothly at the lodge with no hassles, just pure class.

The Pension is very well located, very close to Echoland main street with an alleyway access (3mins walk). There is also a free shuttle bus stop right in front of the pension taking you to Iimori ski resort. It was great value for money compared to other options in Echoland. The owner Jun and his family are amazing and always so helpful. He also runs a little Italian restaurant with very nice Italian food, quite affordable.

The host Jun is a super host who was so caring and helpful at all times. He came to pick me up from another accomodation and helped me to put the very heavy luggage to our room on First floor. My husband hurted himself while skiing and Jun is very proactive and suggested Dr Shintani to us. On our departure, he dropped us at Happo bus station. An amazing point of his accomodation is location — the shuttle bus station to 47 and Illmori are just right in front of your Pension. u can walk within 5-10 min to Echoland where you can find lots of delicious cafes.

Where do I start. Jun and his family are awesome. Nothing is a problem. The property is really close to bars and restaurants. Especially the Cherry Pub. This is the second time I’ve stayed and I’ll be back again.

We had an amazing stay here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The rooms were cozy, clean, and perfect after long days out enjoying the snow. The location is fantastic — peaceful and scenic, yet still close to great restaurants and places to explore. Waking up to the snowy surroundings each morning was absolutely beautiful and made the trip feel extra special. Everything about our stay felt relaxing and well cared for. We left with great memories and would absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommended!

The property was very well kept, staff were very friendly and it was a very comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and warm, and the staff picked us up and dropped us off for check in and check out. Highly recommend this property, would stay here again.

A marvellous little pension with cosy, comfortable rooms. Jun and his wife were exemplary hosts, so kind and welcoming. The place is very clean, well-organised and the food was delicious. We so enjoyed the breakfasts in the dining room every morning, with panoramic views of the winter wonderland outside. We also ate dinner from the Italian menu a couple of times and it was also excellent. The onsen rooms downstairs were great after a long day skiing. We'd definitely recommend. We had a family room which included a toilet and shower, but TBH the shared toilets were fine - spotless, with heated toilet seats.

“Amazing hosts, cosy accommodation, convenient and highly recommended”
We loved our stay at Pension Syo. Absolutely amazing hosts, so kind in picking us up from the bus terminal, and checked us in quickly and explained everything we needed to know for our stay. We even got a copy of the shuttle bus timetable, which was very useful for planning our day on the mountain. We loved the food at the restaurant and ate there on two nights. Only improvement is the pillows were a bit flat, but we were able to get extra pillows so it was ok! Oh and I nearly forgot - the baths in the basement level were amazing after a day on the slopes - what a great facility!

“Nice”
Epic trip to Hakuba stayed in Pension Syo which helped a lot to go snowboarding as the bus stop is exactly in front of the accomodation. Jun is very attentive and gave us a lift to station and back for free. There is a nice Onsen for free. There is good food and always jazz playing!!!!
