The location was ideal for ski season, breakfast was such a treat and the self serve amenities a lovely bonus. Taka was incredibly generous with his knowledge and hospitality even arranging a hair cut for my grandson. The massage chair and private onsen were greatly appreciated after a day on the slopes and we could not have asked for a more cosy adequate room.

Nice little pension in good location for shuttle buses to ski resorts. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were first class homemade everyday, western style. Great lounge area and onsens down stairs everyday.

it’s very homey and cosy. Taka and family were very hospitable and helpful. drove me to onsen one day saving me from walking in the rain. Breakfast was home made and excellent.

“Taka, Seiko, & Dave = legends”

Taka & Seiko were outstanding hosts who looked after us very well for the month we stayed there. Their local knowledge was extremely helpful, from knowing which mountains might have the best conditions that day to great local places to go and eat (please skip Calico, you can get chicken parm at home). The included breakfast was also very handy for saving $$$. The private 'onsen' was a welcome surprise, very nice after a big day on the hill. Special shout out to Dave; he was very kind to my husband and I, always ready for a joke, and also has great knowledge of the local slopes.

The host, Taka, was lovely - enthusiastic, friendly and very helpful. Traditional surroundings ( shoes off inside), small rooms with older furnishings, but very clean with comfortable beds. Western style buffet breakfast each morning was delicious - fresh fruit, cereal, home-baked bread (daily) and either muffins/scones/cinnamon rolls. Also hot options - eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc.

Breakfast is amazing, people is so kindly. I recommend the hotel to you.

Really cozy vibe and awesome location

Taka was very welcoming towards us from arrival until departure. He offered great insight into Echoland and the surrounding hakuba area. Breakfast was always a highlight for us with home made goods each morning to kickstart the day. The accomodation was very clean and well presented. Lots of room compared to other accomodation we’ve previously stayed in. Shower and Onsen facilities were nice and clean. Location was perfect as it’s close to town but far enough away from the house. Would 100% stay again if we are lucky enough to get a spot!! Thank you Taka From Scott and Alex

This was a great place. Bus stop 1 block away to bus stop for various ski resorts . Off Main Street with walking distance to resturants. Great place with private spa rooms, heated room for skis, lovely breakfast and the host was kind and full of knowledge. Had a large common lounge area. Stayed in a twin with ensuite.

Comfortable, convenient, great breakfast

Taka and Seiko's place is welcoming and feels like a home. They are friendly and eager to help with anything, inuding calling in dinner reservations if your Japanese isn't great. Delicious breakfast each day, fresh baked bread and sweet breads, a short walk to the shuttle bus stop, free parking out front, lots of great food options nearby. Hang in the lounge in the evening and chat with other guests. Belnina is a traditional Japanese style pension with shared bathrooms, super clean, basic but comfortable rooms. There is an onsen downstairs for convenient relaxation after a day on the snow. This was our second visit, and will be back.
