Staff went above and beyond and were so helpful with recommendations and were so attentive. The location is terrific for getting to all resorts (via bus) and the included breakfast was great before a day of skiing. The facilities were excellent with a warm dry room for skis and boots and an onsen for after the slopes

“Fantastic staff, great location and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!”
The staff really made this stay, the ladies went above and beyond to ensure we were happy! So friendly, warm and super helpful. The rooms are a decent size and ours included a private shower and two sinks. Breakfast was delicious & the hotel is in a great location - only 15 min walk from Happo One and 2 min walk from the shuttle bus terminal. Echoland strip was about a 1km walk otherwise there was plenty of pubs & restaurants in Happo village only about a 5-10 min walk.

“Wonderful stay in Happo-One”
Our stay was wonderful! The two ladies running the hotel are very lovely and very helpful. They make ypu feel at home the second you arrive. Our room was very big and comfortable. We receiced fresh towels, amenities, water each day. They do a room clean every three days, if needed. The hotel has eveeything you need. The ski locker room is very big, lots of lockers (small and big), and heated. The small onsen bath is wonderful for an after ski day relax session. Included breakfast offers japanese and international options. We enjoyed the stay very much and def want to book again when we come back to Hakuba.

“We loved it”
Happokan couldn’t have been better. The owners are so lovely and helpful, they made breakfast for us every morning (7:30 to 8:30) and they even made it at 7:00 upon request a couple of days. We were 8 in our group and they put us on the same floor when they found out we were together. Some rooms and the breakfast area faces the slopes. The location is perfect. Walking distance to Happo-one and the bus stop to go to other resorts is 2 blocks away. Also very close to a Lawson, the Happo-one Bus Terminal and restaurants. You can also walk to Echoland in 20 minutes. Rooms are very spacious and they are cleaned every couple of days. The onsen is really nice too and a great way to end a day out in the snow. We will 100% come back next time we visit Hakuba.

“A Delightful and Comfortable Stay – Highly Recommended!”
From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service made this stay truly special. This charming boutique hotel is run by two wonderful ladies who go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and well cared for. Their kindness, humility, and cheerful nature created such a warm atmosphere. They provided invaluable local tips, helped with shuttle bus services, and even offered discounted ski lift passes—a fantastic bonus! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering breathtaking mountain views. While the bathrooms are basic, they are clean and functional. One of the highlights was the onsite onsen, the perfect way to soothe tired legs after a long day on the slopes. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, but the included Japanese breakfast was a standout—delicious, beautifully prepared, and changing daily for variety. A few Western options were also available for those who prefer them. Overall, an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to return next season!
