“Great staff”
In the middle of winter the location would be perfect with a ski lift within 10m of the door. Unfortunately we arrived a week after the lift closed. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful going out of their way to ensure our stay was the best it could be. They have a ski hire on site and the hotel has a dry room to store ski/snowboards with a table tennis and pool table. The location is a bit out of the way so recommend getting a car or taking advantage of shuttle. Important to note when the Iimori ski field closes the shuttle won't come out this way.

Breakfast choice in cereal was cornflakes ??? Limited amount of food available you missed out. Eggs seemed like they were out of a packet very rubbery and cold. Choice of bread was limited and didn’t seem fresh. Once again if you didn’t arrive early you missed out. Dinner was the same menu every night and it was over cooked. Trying to do western food badly. Keep it simple and just provide good Japanese food. Short supply once again missed out if you didn’t arrive early.

Location was superb. Staff were so friendly and helpful, with transfers to and from, and also to the supermarket. Breakfast was great value. Dinner was good but not great value for money. Great gathering area downstairs in the annex building for complimentary hot chocolate and coffee. Newly opened ski gear rental shop in basement.

“Location is its only strength.”
Love having the alternative activities like football table, pool table and table tennis for nights/ snow in days. Great location to walk for skiing/ snowboarding at Hakuba Goryu ski slopes n love the access to having 2 food trucks behind to eat out in the snowy winter. Right smack in the middle between escal plaza and Hakuba 47 with easy triangle shuttle bus.

We got upgraded to family room which is very spacious. The location is opposite to Iimori base. The staff is helpful.

The Sun Vally hotel is very welcoming and the rooms are spacious and the location is brilliant for skiing.

“PERFECT LOCATION, amazing views”
This has been the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan! The staff was very kind and even picked us up from the bus stop in the village. The views from our room were stunning, overlooking the mountains and the ski area. The room was very spacious, and the facilities were convenient. The distance to the town (groceries) is walkable. We will repeat, 100% recommended!!!
