Overview
Offering rooms with a yukata robe, green tea and mountain views, Hotel Ougiya is 5 minutes from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Field on the free shuttle. It has natural hot-spring baths and serves Japanese-Western fusion cuisine. Hakuba Hotel Ougiya has both Japanese and Western rooms, all with heating facilities, an en suite bathroom and a fridge. Guests in the Japanese room sleep in futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The Western room includes a private bath. On-site parking is free, and the hotel provides free shuttles from JR Hakuba Train Station and Hakuba Bus Terminal, both 2 km away. Hakuba Museum is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Bicycles can be rented. After a day on the slopes, you can unwind with a massage. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage and ski storage, and the lobby has free Wi-Fi. A Japanese or Western set menu is available for breakfast from 07:00-09:30. A multi-course fusion dinner is served from 18:00-20:00. Cocktails are poured at the lounge bar.

The mostly lovely and helpful staff! The rooms and hotel were well kept and comfortable. The breakfast was also great, with lots of different options. The hotel is also walking distance to the main resort, bars and restaurants and ski/ snowboard hire, which was very handy. Overalll, great stay!

“Cosy and warm”
Very helpful staff and you can book a private onsen. The breakfast is good, great ski storage. Beds very soft but the room was warm and cosy and perfect for what we wanted.

This is a pleasant hotel with a friendly family run feel. The Japanese style room was delightful; and the included breakfast was just what was needed, offering a wide variety of tasty food to suit all tastes. Attached to a Ryokan via a tunnel, linking a variety of onsens, and offering a particular Japanese cuisine, Shabu Shabu, it had a lovely, boutiquey ambience overall. Big ski locker and drying room.

“Great Happo Stay”
Friendly staff, we got collected from the train station. The breakfast had great variety. The onsen was very clean. Comfy beds. Good ski storage room. Location was a 10 minute walk to happo gondola and 5 minute walk to Lawson so very good!

“Amazing traditional place!”
This hotel is great! Very comfortable and cosy feel. It's not the newest but it makes up for that in character and customer service. The location is excellent and is 4 mins walk to happo one bus terminal which makes getting around very easy. Hotel staff are very helpful. Our room was very large for Japanese standards, including a lounge area, tv, mini fridge and separate toilet and bathroom and it had a beautiful view of the mountains. Even though the bed was on the floor it was actually pretty comfortable. The breakfast is more traditional but also has alot of western foods. Onsen is also very nice. For a small price you can pay for a private one ($3,000 yen).
