The location was perfect for our stay with many restaurants and cafés close by. The breakfast included was great, we particularly enjoyed the French Toast. The staff were always very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and serviced each day. The daily shuttles to two ski resorts were very helpful. We also received pick up and drop off from the Train Station which made our travels smoother.

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. Since I was there during off peak there was no breakfast and no shuttle bus, but hotel staff did drive us everywhere including supermarkets.

Location, friendly staff, spacious room, shuttle service to Happo One and Hakuba47. Facilities were convenient with a drying room, laundry facilities, breakfast service. Bathroom was updated and clean. Close proximity to rental shop and good restaurants.

Perfectly located in the Main Street of Echo land. Close to many restaurants and bars. Offer daily breakfast. Awesome place to stay highly recommended with fantastic facilities. Comfortable beds.

“Great Lodge!”

Hakuba Matata is an awesome lodge! The rooms are cozy but that's the Japanese style. The common room is super inviting and a great space to hangout and relax. The lodge was super clean, quiet, and has an awesome breakfast! There are two super close bus stops for all the ski resort shuttles and the main food strip is a relatively short walk away. Would definitely come back and stay for our next ski trip!

The hotel is ideally located, with quick access to nearby restaurants, gear rentals, and the slopes. If you're willing to walk, both the supermarket and 7/11 are within reach. The room offered great value for its size, and the beds were cozy. It also had a fully equipped kitchen, and the bathtub was a perfect way to relax after a day on the snow. We kicked off the day with a delicious hot breakfast and wrapped it up with some fun playing pool. The laundry facilities and shuttle service to the ski resorts were added bonuses. The staff were kind and accommodating, even drove us from and to the train station. Can't wait to go back again!

Photos do not do justice to this hotel. The location, staff and facilities were well beyond our expectations, including delicious hot breakfasts each day such as pancakes, French toast, eggs and more. Our room was *much* bigger than it looked in the pictures - very spacious by ski resort standards, and HUGE by Japan standards - and the location was amazing for food and entertainment.
