“Tattoo-friendly, local experience, and great!”
Excellent, excellent, and excellent. I can't describe this hotel any other way. It was a wonderful rest stop for us during our trip to Japan. This is a traditional Japanese hotel, from the food to the accommodation. Everyone speaks excellent English and is tattoo-friendly :) We experienced the traditional Japanese ryokan, kaiseki, and hot bath that we were very curious about. Even the elderly employee who helped us with the private onsen learned a few sentences in our language and spoke to us before he left. We were very pleased. I hope we can stay here again.

“A very nice traditional onsen hotel experience, with tatami rooms, yukata robes, professional servic”
A very nice traditional hotel experience in Hakone. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and although they did not have private showers, this was part of the authentic onsen-style stay, with washing facilities available in the shared bathing area. We received traditional yukata robes and wore them around the hotel and during dinner, which made the experience feel even more special. The service was professional and hotel-like, and the traditional Japanese dinner was excellent, generous and full of different dishes.

“Nice hotel for a 1-night stay”
Really nice hotel, dinner was amazing, just like the private onsen. Location wise it is pretty far from Hakone main part, bus takes like 45mins. We called an uber to visit Lake Ashi rather. Otherwise it was all good

“Great blend of traditional ryokan experience with modern amenities”
Great combination of modern convenience and traditional Japanese aspects such as the dinner and breakfast and the onsen. Large rooms with tatami mats and thin mattress under the futon made the sleep surprisingly comfortable. Kimonos were a nice touch and the meals were fabulous.

“Excellent”
Great hotel, with superb facilities and amenities. Room was extremely comfortable and good size. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic, our first time Onsen was great and smooth experience. Staff were kind and polite. Location was a 25 minutes bus ride from Hakone station, up in the mountains where majority of hotels are. Super quiet, we had a great sleep. Less than 15m away with the bus from the car cable where you go to see the main attractions. 10/10, would stay again!

“Great to experience Japanese culture by staying here”
The experience was very genuine. Lovely location. We liked the use of the kimono for relaxing in the hotel and going to meals. The public onsen was great and very quiet when I used it. Meals were varied and generally delicious. We travelled around the area by bus and the buses are easy to use, and frequent.
