“Kinreisou was very peaceful and clean”
Offering a tea ceremony experience and home-made Japanese meals, Kinreisou has an outdoor hot-spring bath and is a 3-minute walk from Koenkami Cable Car Station. Rooms have an LCD TV and shared bathrooms. Kinreisou Guesthouse provides heated Japanese-style rooms with futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Slippers are included, and toilets are shared. Hakone Art Museum and Gora Park are both about a 7-minute walk, and Lake Ashi is a 25-minute drive away. Breakfast and dinner are served at the dining area.

8 min walk from Gora station. warm welcome and the hospitality of the owner, she even prepares hot water and eggs for us in breakfast time. I would choose this place again if I travel to Hakone next time.

The owner is very friendly and serves tea and eggs or sweets in the morning. The location is quite convenient to explore Hakone and its surroundings. The Ryokan is situated in a very calm neighbourhood with a forest on the opposite side of the street. The Onsen is very hot (53°C from the wall), but can be mixed down to 40°C for a comfortable experience.

Really lovely, authentic Japanese homestay. The host is friendly and welcoming. House is well-equipped. We liked the quiet location, traditional house and the private onsen was an excellent addition. We were delivered coffee and eggs in the morning directly to our room.

“Definitely want to go back, but dinner can be difficult”
Very convenient location, the room was very large and comfortable, for one person, but it could easily fit more. The owner was very kind and tried her best to communicate despite my limited japanese. The breakfast was not amazing, but good enough to start the day. Despite going in the winter, the room warmed up once the heater was turned on. I was worried that I would be cold because of the large windos and the wooden floor, but that did not happen. The room, and the house in general, were very quiet.

“Affordable option with private onsen”
Great private onsen. Great service. The room is large and comfortable. Near convenience store (daily yamazaki). Have Hakone carry service that delivery luggages back to Hakone Yumoto station.

Cozy homestay near Hakone station. Very sweet old lady runs this 2 room homestay at Hakone/Gora. If you don't need anything special and you like to have an authentic place to stay, this is it. Sweet lady also boiled some eggs and tea for us in the morning. Place is not new or polished, but a normal Japanese home.

Charming, traditional ryokan with a nostalgic atmosphere. The room was spacious with a classic futon, and the onsen, though small, felt very authentic. Located in a very peaceful area about a 10-minute walk from the station.

“Lovely Peaceful Japanese Homestay Close to Gora Station”
Kinreisou was very peaceful and clean. The room was spacious and bright, and the bathroom had a private onsen. The owner was very nice and kindly provided a small breakfast each morning which was unexpected. The homestay is about a 10 minute walk to Gora station.

“Good for 1 night.”
. For the price, it is good. Also there was no breakfast in the morning as other reviews say and they also never mentioned it. But they do provide tea.

“Would happily stay again.”
I really enjoyed the authentic aesthetic of the property. The kimono provided and the tea were lovely as well. I did not expect any breakfast, so getting the simple breakfast was an added bonus. The host was lovely and welcoming. Onsen was really hot and it was great to experience it.
