“Brilliant location, lovely staff, great facilities”
Location is perfect, really close to the station which then connects you to the rest of the town really easily. The staff were super friendly, carrying out bags to our rooms and walking us through all the facilities. The facilities were great, the foot bath overlooked the town and the mountains and was usually empty so lovely peaceful break.

Great location 5 min walk from hakone station. Amazing staff very foreign friendly and accommodating. Room was very nice and clean, had everything I needed.

The hotel is kinda like a ryokan, with complimentary shared onsen and a foot bath. The staff said onsen water is piped to the room showers too. The location is just above the train station, which also means there will be noise from train movement, if that bothers you. Staff were nice and helpful (as with large majority of Japanese are). The rooms are also really huge with space for either a tatami area or a sofa.

The location was perfect! Right behind the train station and next to the Main Street so everything was very accessible. The building was charming, the staff exceptionally sweet, and the hot spring was so nice.

“A traditional ryokan experience”
Love.y staff, great public Onsen. Location next to Yumoto train station - the walk to reception is very ‘steppy’ but the route to the rooms is not too bad. It’s a traditional ryokan so don’t expect hotel furnishings.

Right near the station, just behind up a hill. Easy to get to normally, although we arrived during the biggest snowfall of 20 years and it was a bit of a mission. In face it was a last minute booking because we couldn't get out to where we had originally booked. Then onsen and footbath are hot! And amazing in the winter snow. The staff were very kind and we had a great set breakfast. The room was basic but cosy. Would go again for sure

“Pack crampons”
On the side of a very steep hill, at least 1 in 4 . Totally inaccessible for people with chronic illness or reduced mobility. Next to a busy station and main road so sme degree of permanent noise.

This property is amazing. The most beautiful onsen, great air con, beautiful views and best location and beautiful area where the foot spa is.
