Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access. “The perfect traditional Ryokan stay!”
Loved the open air bath and views of the waterfalls. When we went to the public baths there was no one else there. Wonderful traditional room with comfortable Japanese beds. Separate toilet and shower very convenient. We enjoyed the traditional food, but might not be to some people's tastes. Risa served us dinner and breakfast and was very informative about the food and thoughtful looking after us and our baby, she was amazing! We (and our baby) also loved the kids play area in the lobby - such a great idea!

“Great base to explore”
It was lovely to experience a ryokan and it was right on the river with fantastic views. Very convenient for transport links to explore the area. Our room hostess Youko was friendly and helpful when setting out our breakfast.

The hotel is very well located a couple of minutes walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, right on the river (which is loud). The staff were super helpful and friendly. We booked a room which included dinner and breakfast which we didn't realise was served in room - there is no dining room at the hotel, so all included meals are served in your room. Dinner was incredible, so so much! The onsens on level 6 are also clean and relaxing.

Really authentic experience with great attention to detail. Great onsen, includes the private ones as well. Rooms are relatively spacious with a great view. Dinner and breakfast are also very authentic, which might not be for everyone.

I liked the reception area and the onsen area. Our room was quaint and nice. The Indonesian woman who tended dinner and breakfast was lovely and explained everything in detail regarding food and traditions.

“A traditional Japanese experience, not to be missed”
The accommodation is a traditional Japanese ryokan, with public and private baths, table tennis and karaoke. Guests are given complimentary yukatas to wear and staff set up the bed in the room in the evenings. Traditional Japanese breakfast is provided in private dining rooms the following day
