Beautiful hotel set in hillside woods. Every chalet/lodge has private facilities and is not overlooked. Excellent restaurant - you can choose either traditional Japanese fare or ‘fireside’ international dining - both were excellent. Golf carts used to transport guests around as some lodges are a little far away from the main centre.

The villa number 5 is amazing and the apartments are tidy. And that's pretty much it, unfortunately.

The aesthetics and the atmosphere of the room with the skylight above the window and having a fireplace. Also the breakfast / dining room area had a good vibe and feel to it.

Absolutely everything. The location, the staff, the breakfast, the dinner and all the facilities! The private onsen was fantastic. The 5 course dinners at the property (both Japanese and Western) were delicious. The staff especially were very caring and attentive.

We stayed at villa 7 in spring and it was a beautiful space. My 6 year old loved the meal arrangement (we booked half board); while we had a wonderful kaiseki meal, he had a huge meal served early with a great variety that he thoroughly enjoyed. Service staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The atmosphere and how well isolated but convenient at the same time

The villa was modern, area incredibly peaceful, relatively easy access thanks to public transport. Loved the private onsen. The cafe, shared terrace space, and onsen were also nice.

It feels very private. The fire place is cool but the wood they give you burns in a minutes so you spend a lot of time getting wood and feeding the fire. Someone should let them know about

“Phenomenal stay in Hakone”

The best accommodation during our Japan trip! The whole facility is outstanding and the villas were tastefully designed with big spaces, have a lot of privacy and are extremely comfortable. I felt deeply relaxed after staying here for two days. We went into our private onsen at least three times a day and just listened to nature and the surroundings. The Japanese breakfast and dinners were phenomenal. Would 100% recommend.

The Villa was huge, loved the private hot spring. Staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted something a little special to celebrate my boyfriends 30th birthday and this did not disappoint. The highlight of our trip.

Outstanding retreat in a holiday resort. Staff are super helpful and really nice. Breakfast is on another scale and the lodge we had was perfect. Call reception for anything you need, don’t be shy. They will also happily drop you off and collect at nearby restaurants so you don’t have to eat there.
