“Very memorable”

The traditional nature of the whole place. The food and service and the care and attention given to us by Soe. The private onsen was lovely. Most traditional thing we have done in our travels.

The Onsen experience was really good. They have private Onsen which you can book. We also loved the dinner and breakfast in a Japanese style. there were a variety of foods which had an amazing taste. They also have excellent ocidental food options which we have selected to our kid.

This was a lovely traditional Ryokan in Hakone,and a great place to stay. They provided a lovely dinner and breakfast (would recommend booking those), the room was beautiful and I loved both the private and public onsens. It was my first experience of onsens, and I later went to more, but these remained my favourite. The room and everything was very clean also. Would recommend ☺️

Really beautiful room and very scenic, peaceful location, we booked a river view room. The place is a bit run down but I thought it added charm. The meals were beautiful and the experience of being served in the room was great.

Loved the whole old fashioned Ryokan experienced but find that there is a definite need for a bit of a facelift to the facility, always keeping the Ryokan experience. Our young lady who looked after us was wonderful.

The onsen was outstanding, as well as having the opportunity to have a 30m private one where me and my girlfriend could be in together. Having a sauna in our room was incredible. The room was spacious and clean. The meals we were served in our rooms, dinner and breakfast, were beautifully cooked and had an amazing presentation. We felt super pampered as it was a first-time experience for us being in a place like this. It was great value for the cost.

Wifi did not work at all in our rooms, but I believe this can be acceptable for one night of this type of experience. The staff seemed to have missed our request to have vegetarian meals (despite confirmation right after booking), but they made up by preparing one on the spot. It felt that it was maybe a little rushed but we appreciated the effort.

“Great stay in Hakone!”

Easy to get to from the station. Very nice traditional room with sauna. 2 private onsens and also public onsens. Food war great and they prepared something more western for the kids. A great experience for our family

Beautiful old Ryokan. The rooms are very traditional and the food is an experience in itself. It is very well located to the station. The Onsen is very comfortable.

Loved the ambience of the ryokan! The staff were amazing and the attention to detail in serving our food was brilliant. Explained everything in the room and the process of using the onsen. If you want a traditional ryokan onsen with a classic touch, then this is your place!

“Memorable experience”

Amazing experience, stayed one night. Staff were incredible and friendly. Food was great and accommodated Vegitarian which was a bonus. Nice to use the onsen as a tattooed woman through the private booking made at check in. Can’t fault it.

The staff and the maid is kind and welcoming, the food is art, the onsens are beautiful, the hotel aesthetic is fabulous.
