The host has been very nice and helpful with tour directions, and also helped me with preparing instant yukasoba I bought at the local 7/11. Very pleasant person.

We had an amazing host in Mr Sun, who greeted us and showed us things to do. This is a ryokan with separate mens and womens onsens which are used one person at a time. Facilities were beautifully clean, and our room was traditionally styled and futons were wonderfully comfortable. Certainly worth a second stay

We stayed at this ryokan and were delighted by our stay.The amazing owner took such delight in showing us to our room and explaining how everything worked. He truly is very proud of his inn. We arrived early and put our luggage in the lockers to the left of entrance. We enjoyed the onsen early morning and evening. Very close to bus stops and train station, in a mountainous area.It was lovely travelling by bus and train through the mountains.

Very traditional accommodation option. The onsen (private and limited to two people) was very greatly appreciated. It allowed us to experience the onsen way of bathing without the concerns of communal bathing. The innkeeper was terrific.

The owner is just the nicest person you could imagine. He really makes you feel welcome and at home. The place is also great for experiencing a traditional Japanese inn. The onsen is very nice and only one person at a time is using it. We loved our stay. The location is conveniently close to train and bus station. There is also a 7/11/Lawson close by.

This ryokan was unforgettable! The owner was very helpful, kind, and polite. A very beautiful accommodation in the mountains, with easy access to Lake Ashi, which was 25 minutes away by bus. The onsen in the ryokan was always empty and very clean. I definitely recommend it – 10/10

I love that you have your own private onsen. everything is immaculately clean. the owner is most helpful and informative in providing best places to eat, attractions, timing of buses/trains and overall everything about Hakone.

Very welcoming host who helped us get the most out of our time in Hakone. There are lockers to leave your suitcase if you arrive before check in, so you can get exploring. At check-in we were given a detailed map and advice on how to navigate around Hakone in the most efficient and interesting way - very easy to get around the surrounding area from Myojokan! We left at 8am on our full day there and saw everything we wanted to, while skipping lots of the crowds. Then in the evenings there is the private onsen bath, one for men and one for women, one person at a time to relax in, which was the perfect end to the day and we never had to wait. The Inn is traditional and was a delightful way to experience the local culture. Plus there's some very good restaurant options both nearby and a short train ride away, and a 7-11 just down the road. Easy to get to, easy to get around and very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone who is open to a more traditional experience and would definitely stay again, thank you! Oh, and we also definitely recommend getting the Hakone free pass! Local transport was more expensive than we thought, and it also helps you skip lines at the bigger tourist attractions not having to line up for tickets.

The onsen regenerates you!! I suggest to go at the end of the Japanese trip to relax! Once arrived the owner took the time to give us a lot of information on what to do in the area and on how to organize the tour around Hakone. Thanks a lot Mister!!
