Amazing experience. Staff were phenomenal and the meals were exquisite. A fantastic stay from start to finish. Remote location but that is exactly what we wanted and it didn’t fail to deliver.

“Perfect stay in Hakone”
Beautiful, peaceful, contemporary hotel. Staff lovely. Food excellent. Spa bath on balcony. In a great spot with easy access to Gora Station and Hakone Open Air Museum and Hakone Tozan Railway, which travels up the mountain.

“Nice vibe, tricky location, not ideal for vegetarians”
The hotel was very beautiful and calm - it had a very relaxing vibe to it. All the added inclusive options were also a nice surprise (ice cream, cheesecake, cakes, beer on tap, juice drinks, coffee!) The onsen and private onsens were also lovely.

“Great stay”
The hotel had a truly lovely, calming atmosphere that made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The staff were consistently warm, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was a real highlight - dinner in particular was a beautifully curated experience, with thoughtful attention to detail and a clear focus on local, seasonal produce. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how well they catered to me at both breakfast and dinner, especially as this had been a challenge at other hotels in Japan. The private onsen was a fantastic addition, and the hotel’s convenient location near the Hakone Loop made it an ideal base for exploring the area.

The whole experience - friendly staff, amazing library/lobby, free amenities everywhere such as teas, snacks and beers, amazing room, comfy/huge beds, private onsens, amazing bathrooms, incredible dinner & traditional breakfast, great shop, held our bags for us, walkable to tram and cable car

“Great design hotel to relax and eat well☺️”
Loved the rooms. Gorgeous design and very confortable. We had one with a private onsen. If it fits in your budget I highly recommend it. Also loved the public onsen in the basement. The food was amazing. Every evening we got an explanation conmecting the food with the area. And the people working at the hotel were so nice, gracious and detail oriënted. Just lovely and highly recommended!!!!!!

“Serenity and Tranquility with all the Conveniences”
Serenity and tranquility within walking distance to Naka-Gora cablecar. Easy access to the ropeway and other attractions. The beautifully designed hotel had all these little nooks you could hide away in with your favourite read! Room was AMAZING! We had a private onsen and outdoor shower. The shared onsen was also great, with indoor and outdoor pools. The star was the dinner. It was thoughtfully prepared by the staff. Each course had a story. It was amazing!

“Stunning retreat for a special occasion”
Stunning design and views. We opted for breakfast and dinner, which were both delicious and allowed us to experience a variety of locally sourced, beautifully cooked dishes (which the staff were kind enough to explain in English!). The private onsen and hammocks on our balcony were a really luxurious treat.

“A culinary and wellness experience”
We did not expect to have such a culinary experience as this hotel, it was a journey through Tokaido, its history and culinary delights.By far the best food we had compared to the 2 other onsens we stayed at on our trip! The wine list is great with some natural wine and good champagne and sake. Thank you so much to the sommelier! The vibe of the place is super chill and absolutely love the books collection and all the nice nooks where you can relax and read! Location is great if you don t have a car, it s only a 10 min walk from the funicular which also takes you up one stopto the gondola to see mount Fuji and lake Ashi. This place is a must try if you go to Hakone!
