Location is good: near the morning market, red brick warehouses, and other food places. The beds are comfortable, and the room size is adequate. The lounge has a great view of the sea and harbour. Onsen has a great view.

Tokyu Stay Hakodate Asaichi Akarinoyu is conveniently located about a five-minute walk from Hakodate Station, making it easy to access transport and nearby attractions. Although the hotel has been operating for a few years, it still feels modern and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. One of the highlights is the rooftop onsen, which features both indoor and outdoor baths with fantastic views. The men’s and women’s baths alternate locations on different days, allowing guests staying two nights or longer to enjoy different views and experiences. The lounge located one floor below the onsen is another standout feature, offering beautiful panoramic views of Hakodate and a relaxing place to unwind. The room was spacious, especially by Japanese standards. I stayed on a higher floor and enjoyed excellent views from the room. A comfortable and modern hotel with spacious rooms, friendly service, spectacular rooftop onsen facilities, and some of the best views in Hakodate. A great choice for both short and extended stays.

Location is good, close to train station, seafood market and restaurants. We had a lovely sea view from our spacious corner room. Equiped kitchen if you wish to cook. Easy walking distance to explore red brick warehouses, ropeway and surrouns. Very good breakfast options at affiliated restaurants, great value for money. Nice bar on 17th floor with beautiful night time view.

Great location. An easy walk from the station and next to the local markets, where there was no shortage of eating places. A short walk to the tramway/streetcar, for accessing sites in Hakodate.

The room I stayed in was really fully equipped with all the necessary amenities making our stay both pleasant and comfortable. They even thought of the little details like hairbands, which they lay out in the lobby for your convenience. The location was perfect - near the train/bus station.

The location - near the train station, convenience stores, Morning Market, the bay and walking distance from the Kanemori red brick warehouses. The public baths at 18th floor - very relaxing and has great views of the ocean and city. The room TV also provides real time information on crowdedness of the baths, so you can go when it’s not occupied or less crowded. Friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome.

“Excellent hotel for the price with an amazing location”

Great location, just 300 mtrs frm the JR station that connects with the Shin Hakodate Station (the one used for the shinkansen), a 100 mtrs from the fish market (where you can enjoy a good breakfast with fresh fish) and in the main touristy area (you would just need to take a bus and/or walk to the attractions). The room was comfortable and the hotel has some good onsen, located in the last floor, with an amazing view and a pool inside and one outside. Recommended hotel if you dont want to rent the cheapeast hotel but also not the most expensive one. Really good price-quality ratio.

Washer dryer and kitchenette in room. Love the extra sink and table space - but it took too long to dry No extra towels for onsen - expected to use washer dryer, but 1 cycle took 4 - 5 hrs Sea view Table and chairs in room 17th floor lounge with coffee and a view. But it closed too early at 10pm If its your thing, 18th floor onsen with sea view, with indoor and outdoor pool. Location. 9 min walk fro JR Station and right next to seafood market

The free coffee on 17th floor with its views were well received. At first I thought the “Breakfast vouchers for the Seafood Market” were a crazy idea, but I actually enjoyed the arrangement, it was different and interesting.

“Don’t stay too long”

The beds were nice and the hotel is in good location - close to the fish markets. The room had a washing machine and microwave which was convenient. The hotel offers luggage delivery service but… Notes - we did get our luggages deliver to the next hotel. The receptionist Nishi was extremely helpful. The guy from the day before wasn’t helpful.

great location 5 min walk with case from station. and above the fish market. onsen was lovely. views out to the water nice. washing machine in the room was brilliant.
