Overview
Just a 3-minute walk from the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses and bay area, La Vista Hakodate features natural hot-spring baths and a healing spa. The art deco rooms are inspired by the Taisho period. All rooms feature a coffee mill for guests to prepare and enjoy a cup of freshly ground coffee. Free wired internet, a flat-screen satellite TV and a unique coffee maker are included in all rooms at La Vista Hakodate Bay. Some rooms offer views of Hakodate Harbour, and all have an en suite bathroom with massaging shower. Hakodate Bay Gourmet Club is next to the hotel. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Hakodate Airport and a 15-minute walk from JR Hakodate Train Station. The hotel’s 6 types of hot spring baths are on the top floor, offering spectacular night views of Hakodate. Dry and wet saunas are available. Dining options include a Japanese buffet breakfast, fresh seafood and Tokachi beef at Restaurant Norte, and Chinese seafood dishes at Kai Foo Rou.

A great choice of food was available with generous quantities for breakfast. Fabulous view from our room. Good size room with a window that could open. A gallery with interesting local history was part of the reception area.

I really liked this hotel. it has character despite being quite big. the rooms are nice and i love the window providing a nice view over the city, with a little coffee station set up to enjoy. the breakfast is quite an experience.

Quite comfortable. The onsen is very good. It's far from the station if you need to travel during the snowy season.

“Overall it was an excellent stay.”
Our room had a large picture window with beautiful views of the harbour with the Christmas tree, Kanemori Warehouse, and Motomachi in the distance. It was a very relaxing place to sit, drink, and read. Family Mart on the ground floor is very convenient. The onsen bath on the roof deck has spectacular views where (by chance) I saw the fireworks on Christmas eve. The Japanese breakfast buffet was also excellent and we also enjoyed Christmas dinner at Casa Norte, the Spanish restaurant, which had a good menu and wine selection.

The breakfast is so excellent and have a various variety of food and the food is so delicious. The coffee machine placed in the lobby is really convenience and the convenience store have many different kind the food and souvenirs.

“Too small and too expensive.”
We booked for two people but they assigned one person room to us. Except it was extremely small, everything inside was for one person, one pillow, one toothbrush, one towel, one bottle of water, etc. we had to ask the staff for extra items. The price of the hotel was very high too. They charge by per person. So we spend more than six hundreds for two night. This is so not value for the price!
