“Calmness and beauty inside and outside”

We spent the perfect holidays in this cute little house! Where to start? Seiland is a beautiful island with only 25 residents in the south part. The house is very cute, lots of space, cosy sofas and beds, well equipped kitchen with literally everything you might need for cooking. The views from the windows are stunning. On the last day we saw humpback whales while sitting ob the sofa chairs🤩 The northern lights visited us multiple times almost every day. Ingrid is a wonderful, helpful and kind host. She lent us snow shoes so we could make little hikes in this little paradise. All in all a wonderful and very recommended accomodation. Thank you Ingrid! Ps. For everyone who wants to go whale watching: It is possible to take the early ferry to Alta, then join a tour and come back with the late ferry.

Bestefarhuset In this cozy house I have fulfilled my dream of experiencing the Nordic winter from Christmas to the end of January. Bestefarhuset provides everything you need for a longer stay with self-catering. The kitchen is fully equipped with a very modern electrical stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, waffle iron, toaster, etc.. The furnishing of the living room and bedrooms was selected with a good feeling for coziness, pleasant living and natural materials to combine comfort and tradition in a sensitive manner. The house used to be the grandfather's center of life. The well-functioning wood burning stove from that time provided me with a comfortable warmth. Modern electric heaters provide a constant room temperature without burning wooden fire. One of those in the living room can work as air conditioning system in the summer. The new large-volume washing machine completes the recently renovated bathroom. The view from the living room is fabulous over the bay of Hakkstabben and the mountain scenery of the opposite island. You can reach Seiland by car with a ferry. Otherwise, the tenants kindly offer a shuttle between Bestefarhuset and the ferry port for arrival and departure and on demand for further trips. Not least thanks to the open minded and helpful nature of the people living here my stay was unforgettable and beautiful. I will gladly come back!
