Overview
This eco-friendly hotel is quietly located in the centre of Hahnenklee. It offers free on-site parking and is a 15-minute drive from Goslar. Haus am Hochwald offers a 10 x 5 metre indoor pool, a sauna. Free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a private bathroom are offered at all modern rooms at the 3-star-superior Haus am Hochwald. Most rooms include a south-facing balcony or terrace with views of the Bocksberg Mountain. A full breakfast buffet is served each morning. Guests are also welcome to use the refrigerators in the breakfast room for their personal groceries. Hotel am Hochwald is surrounded by beautiful hiking and cycling trails, as well as winter sport facilities and a toboggan run. Many UNESCO historic attractions can be found in the local area. The hotel has a bicycle cellar for bicycle storage as well as offering repair facilities. A wheelchair-friendly hiking trail also begins at the hotel, and goes all the way to the centre of Goslar.

The breakfast offered a reasonable selection, although we missed freshly cooked eggs and bacon. The hotel was clean and the location was good for exploring the surrounding area.

“Lovely town, friendly and competent staff, but a few things to keep in mind.”
The parking was super steep if you park above, makes it a challenge opening car doors and then bringing your suitcase up. Our shower leeked and the water wasn't that hot. We booked the sauna and it was sooooo loud with noisy kids next door in the swimming pool. Adults were there but obviously didn't care.

Very friendly staff, comfortable beds, good and tasty breakfast with homemade products, nice pool. Highly recomended for a cosy stay.
