Cottage was perfect for a couple, with all you could need. Clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Walking distance to beach and local shops and restaurants. Deidre was welcoming and friendly with a gorgeous dog, Doug.

Loved the peace and quiet . The beautiful garden and privacy and easy walking distance to the beach and cafes . The bedding is excellent and enjoyed snuggling in the lounge area under blankets and having coffee on the small patio

We liked everything about Kereru Cottage. The hosts were amazing, the bed was so comfortable that we had great nights sleep. The location is good for great food and walking distance to a wonderful beach. What more do you need.

“Exceptional and inviting!”
The Kereru Cottage was *the* (accommodation) highlight of our 10-day NZ trip! The room, more like a granny flat, is very spacious, with plenty of well appointed amenities. It was the perfect accommodation for us in Hahei, as it was within walking distance to the town centre and the beach. Walking down the garden path, taking in the aroma of the amazing garden with its plentiful flowers, and Doug's watchful eyes - it was entirely idyllic. And don't forget to keep an eye out for the resident kererus! We cannot recommend this place enough!

Lovely little cottage in fantastic location. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Perfect for walking to Cathedral Cove and exploring the Coramandel.

This is such a gorgeous spot to stay and we will certainly come again. The cottage is idyllic and well suited to a relaxed midweek getaway. Deidre was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable.

“Cosy place!”
Very nice cosy place. It was our first stop after arriving in New Zealand and it was a relaxing to stay here after a long trip. We discovered the Feijoa fruit in the garden (new to us) and the hosts gave us lots of them, very tasty!

“Exceptional comfortable cottage in Hahei”
Beautiful setting in the cottage just like advertised. Deridre and Ray were friendly, helpful, with great communication before our arrival on ANZAC Day. Super comfortable bed, great location, and the shovels for the Hot Water Beach were very thoughtful.

“A pretty secluded cottage”
An idyllic cottage,so tastefully and high quality decorated. What a lovely touch ,Fruit,milk and bread upon arrival,thank you Kitchen was well equipped The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed, we used the BBQ a few times The garden was full of flowers A short walk to the most beautiful beach and the local store and a few cafes and restaurants We met the very handsome Dog called Doug!! Deidre was a lovely host ,nothing too much trouble Wish we could have stayed longer

Location; nice quiet place, quite pretty, well maintained - special bonus when the owner dropped in with a freshly-home cooked loaf of bread!!
