Despite the property's small size, the rooms were really clean and the service friendly, with discounted lift tickets available. On the overall, I enjoyed my stay there, although id really recommend they de-ice the front steps or add banisters to better prevent falls.

Great location next to the bus stop. The staff is very friendly. The room was comfortable with plenty of sunshine and mountain view. The owner Tom also provided discounted ski gear hiring and lift pass. They also provided free pick up and drop off service to the Appi Kogen ski resort. The two dogs they have are just so cute. They serve breakfast and dinner.

I booked this for my son to stay on a recent trip to Appi. Tom was a great host, loads of fun and the food delicious. He had a fantastic time.

The family feel of this pension is infectious. Tom and his team for the duration of our stay were enthusiastic and bilingual. Shout out to doudou and bonbon the pet dogs that are also positive towards all guests. The staff and owner are welcoming and happy to attend to any questions or requests. An amazing experience which I would highly recommend to everyone. We will definitely be back!!

Host (Tom) and his wife were fabulous. Free shuttle made it very easy. Meals were great which was handy as not many options close by.

Tom and his family were so welcoming from the moment I arrived until I left. Not only is a great breakfast provided, there is the option for an amazing dinner. Tom is a great chef and the food was always tasty. He even offers a free drop off to the mountain each morning. I would highly recommend you stay here.

The owner Tom-san is very accomodating for pickups and drop offs to the resort and the convenience store.

All aspects previously mentioned. Great location and breakfast and evening meal were great. Awesome place to stay! Very close to resort. Nice comfortable private onsen. I did not need to go to the public one. Potable water handy feature and tastes great too. I drank lots of water every day during my stay.

We loved our stay at this lodge in Appi kogen. A really great option for affordable accommodation. I was warm and clean and the hosts are lovely. Our room was quiet, which isn’t always the case in this type of accommodation. Great breakfast and drop off and collection from ski area.

Large room with ensuite. Good breakfast. Not too far from Appi. Had a good stay for 3 nights.

Nice friendly staff. Always very helpful. The food was great: excellent variety and delicious 😋 Rooms with air conditioning and beds were very comfortable 😌 Would recommend staying here. Shuttle bus to Appi Kogen ski resort was great (only around 800 metres). Some choose to walk to warm up. After midday, there were free shuttle buses returning from the resort every 30 minutes that stopped at House Appi diagonally across the road.

“Nice little Pensione with super comfy beds”

The breakfast was an extra cost 1,100 yen and it was sufficient but not a lot of variety. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in Japan. There was no cleaning in room for our stay which I don’t mind as there were a lot of towels provided in our room and there was also a microwave and bins in corridor outside room. There weee a few places to eat around us within walking distance and it is directly opposite House Appi which has coffee, pastries and a few necessities for sale. There is also the bus stop there to take you to Onsen and ski resort but not on mondays when house Appi is closed

It is near to the ski resort. Only few minutes away from the resort. Its ambience it is very cosy and the host is very friendly.
