“It was good and I would recommend it to anyone”
The final night had a terrible knocking noise above my bed and it didn't stop. Other nights it started around 7.30pm & finished around 10.30pm Which was ok as we were out for dinner most of that time.

“A suberb Japanese Hotel away from the crowds”
I love smaller Japanese Hotels generally. The Staff were lovely, especially the ladies on reception who were so helpful. The small onsen was lovely, and there were plenty of non-busy times to use it. Even though this Hotel is further away from the slopes, there is a dedicated shuttles bus driver who is also just so wonderful, taking us and our skis up to the central area and home again. The restaurant food was also wonderful, but as they rotate meals over three nights I would recommend you also consider visiting the local restaurants in the area. Al are in walking distance.

The Hotel offered excellent service via incredibly polite staff. The authentic Japanese room was a pleasure. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing. One had to embrace Japanese food though particularly for Breakfast. Use of a private Onsen was and added bonus.

Silky onsen water. Delicious meals. 2x Private onsen (Wood+Rock style) without reservation from 1500-2300. Just take the key and use it for up to 40min. Comfortable room. Tastefully decorated common area. Free coffee and various kinds of tea at the lobby.
