“Value for money is incomparable”

Like others have said, the food was fantastic! The bed was comfortable and the room sufficient. It's not a luxurious stay, of course, but there's absolutely no denying the value for money here. For the price I paid, the rating can only be top tier. I stayed six nights, as Habarana makes a great starting point for Sigiriya, Polannaruwa and safaris in nearby nature reserves. Thushara made arrangements for me to get to all three of these, and at great prices. The wifi was sketchy, but that's the norm for the whole island, I'm finding. It's fine for looking up info on the Web, but if you're dealing with high-res photos and such, you'll be waiting a while for the task to finish. If what you are after is good value, I have a hard time believing you'd find better than Wild View Stay in the area.

We gave a 10/10 because our stay was amazing! The house is beautiful, the room spotless, and the garden feels like a tropical jungle. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, prepared with local products that allowed us to discover the authentic flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine. A huge thank you to Thushara, our host, for his kindness and his incredible help in organizing our visits (Sigiriya, Dambulla, and a safari in Minneriya). Thanks to him, we fully enjoyed our stay in Habarana. We truly loved this experience and highly recommend this place! Thank you so much, Thushara!

“Great location, hospitality and delicious food.”

Stayed at this great location for four nights. The host is very hospitable, arranged transport to and from Colombo airport (Badaranaike International). He also arranged three wonderful trips in the area for a good price: a wildlife safari, Singria/Dumbulla and Little village tour. They are highly recommended. The hostess is a wonderful cook, I had very tasty meals during my stay!

I had a wonderful experience at Wild View Stay! The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. The stay itself was pretty good — the place has a nice vibe and offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The only small suggestion I have is that the Wi-Fi could be a little better, but overall it didn’t take away from the great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and friendly stay!

The food prepared for dinner by the host was excellent and the host was very nice and helped us book the safari and transfer for the next day. It is a basic accomodation without having any high expectations. In my opinion I will prefer to pay a higher price to have a better room and bathroom.

“Loved the experience here!”

The hotel owner was super nice and helpful. We asked him about safaris in the different national parks around and he organised it all for us for the next day and it was right what we wanted! You get varied breakfast and can eat it in the beautiful garden, where we once had a view on a wild peacock. Great value for your money!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at this place was absolutely spectacular. The food was incredibly delicious — authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Every meal was a highlight. I highly recommend it. The location is perfect if you're looking to experience the real rural side of Sri Lanka, far from the tourist crowds. You’ll find beautiful rice fields, jungle roads, and plenty of wild elephants. The best way to explore the area is definitely by tuk-tuk — it lets you soak in the surroundings and connect with the locals. A truly special and authentic experience. I would come back without hesitation.

Incredibly friendly owners. We only stayed one night but it was a pleasant stay. The house is located on the edge of a national park and has a beautiful garden which the owner showed us around. Good Sri Lankan breakfast. Thank you

“Quite good for short stay”

We decided to book this place because it's located within abundent trees. It turned out that we were neighbors to wild monkeys. And the owner told us there was an elephant visited just 2 days ago. The owner is very helpful in helping us booking nearby Safari, SPA and even helped us book a taxi+driver/tourguide for our week long trip in Sri Lanka. We really appreciated his help.
