Lovely place with lots of green an wildlife next to the train station. Indika and his family was very nice and helpful, oroviding delicious meals and help organising activities.

Friendly people and clean room. Simple but very good for the price. We needed to be close to the train station adn they waited for us on arrival with a torch. Beautifuo garden!

Beautiful place near train station. Rooms are nice and the garden is beautiful. Breakfast was absolutely tasty! The owner of this place is really friendly and helpful. He drove us around for late dinner and picked us up from train station. There was also AC. Definitely recommend for peaceful stay.

This was an exceptional place to stay, with a super friendly host, good rooms with rustic charm and a terrace where you could follow the wildlife in the amazing garden while enjoying the freshly prepared delicious sri lankan breakfasts, which were always a bit varying and always very tasty, the best ones we had during our trip! The location was perfect for us to visit Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla with our rental tuktuk. The village was also only a few km away, so it was very easy to go for dinner with the tuktuk. Definitely recommend this place, excellent value for money! As a nice bonus, the area is good for spotting elephants in the wild, as we saw several on the road to Polonnaruwa.

“Great stay with a welcoming host”

Great host, exactly as advertised, you might find a troop of monkeys sitting on the roof as you arrive, and a couple of frogs in the bathroom after a shower, but that’s all part of the charm. Just watch out for the occasional elephant who walk through the property at night!

Fantastically situated with abundant wildlife on your doorstep including Elephants, monkeys, Black faced langers, birds, lizards and butterflies! Lovely breakfast and wonderful staff.

The host is super friendly and helpful, the breakfast is very generous, there’s air conditioning and the location is perfect to do day trips e.g. to Dambulla or one of the many national parks where you can see elephants and other animals. Really really recommend!

The included breakfast was very good. The rooms are clean and spacious. Biggest double bed in sri lanka so far. Very comfortable. The host is very kind and welcoming. Just 5 minutes to the train station. Very quiet

Well, what can I say, Indika was an exceptional host 👏 from picking us up from the train station in the evening to dropping us in town and then arranging a tour that he was our guide for...outstanding. Breakfast was delicious. We even had pet frogs in the bathroom. Thank you, Indika, for your generosity. Wild Hut exceeded our expectations given the low cost.

“Relaxing, family-friendly guesthouse”

This is the most friendly place we've stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka. The host helped book our safari and took us to Sigiriya at sunrise himself. The host family even organised a birthday surprise for our teenage son. Much care has been taken to make the guesthouse comfortable. The rooms and grounds are well maintained. The slightly-out-of-town location is not really an issue; getting to town takes 5 mins in a tuk tuk, and you'll likely be picked up directly from the guesthouse for longer excursions.

Really comfortable room and such a convenient location. It is quite quiet considering that is right by the train station of Habarana. The garden is so nice and the food delicious. Indika went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and I did everything I wanted to do in Habarana.

Everything was ok. Great place to stay, nice garden, monkeys jumping all around (and stelling bananas), very nice owner, great home cooked breakfast. Very good value for what you pay. Absolutly all recomendations..

Honestly this place is amazing. You are within walking distance of the train station so if you come by train it's perfect, and you don't hear it at all during the night. This place offers just relaxation, the best breakfast we've had in sri lanka and just genuinely good company. Surrounded by monkeys during the day and elephants in the night. Plus you are close to the city and can either rent a scooter or ask to get dropped/picked up by tuk tuk. We highly recommend staying here since it's close to sigiriya and all experiences in the area can be booked here as well! Thank you so much! We hope to come back again soon 😍

The host was very sweet, helpful and friendly man. Everything was clean and perfect to relax if you come or go by train it's also in the perfect location. I would definitely recommend going there because the value is crazy good. Thank you sir I really enjoyed my stay!

A bit outside of the city, the place is really comfortable, perfect to relax with a big open garden where can see or listen to lots of animals passing. Thank you for the ride to the center and for the tasty breakfast!

Perfect location, cottages in a very nice garden. I saw a wild elephant on the street. The owner doing the best to make me feel at home. The owner had good suggestions for a day tour, organized it with his own tuk tuk, and took me every where I wanted with his tuk tuk, no charges. The home made food was great.
