“Great hosts, great food and great rooms”

Awesome place with the most amazing hosts. Rooms are modern, spotless and spacious and overlook a tranquil garden. Rooms are in a building apart from the family home so feel private but the hosts are close by anytime you need advice and are so kind and helpful. Food is abundant and really high quality at very good prices and make sure to go touring with the owner in his tuk tuk - authentic and fun. Easily one of best homestays in sri lanka.

Vihanga Guest House is run by a wonderful family who took excellent care of me. The guest house is in their beautiful garden making for a very calm and peaceful environment. The rooms were clean and comfortable with A/C. The location is on the edge of Habarana so there is no traffic or outside noise but it is still easy to reach. They cooked me a fantastic dinner and breakfast. The family were very friendly making sure I had everything I needed and the kids even took me for a walk around the fields at sunset. Highly recommend staying here.

Furnished verandah outside room with beautiful private garden. So quiet. Spacious room with delightful en-suite. Delicious meals, breakfast & dinner, served in purpose built guest area. Most hospitable family, also very helpful with recommendations as to what to see in the area eg. nearby lake walk at sunset.

Lovely family hosting, preparing nice local breakfast in the morning. Room is well designed and clean like no room other room in this area.

“Had a really nice stay”

We felt so welcome to this place. When we arrived we got tea and coffee. The family who runs this place is so friendly and taking care of everything. We had our own tuktuk and when it started to rain heavily they moved it under the porch when we were on a safari. The room was large and really clean. The AC was great and the shower has warm water and good pressure. The best room we had so far in Sri Lanka! We had breakfast twice and it was delicious. We had more than enough. We enjoyed our stay at Vihanga resort and would definitely recommend this place!
