“Fantastic place to stay”

We highly recommend staying at Cozy Cottage, there are several reasons why.  The family who run the cottages, are absolutely lovely and can not do enough for you.  The food is another reason to stay, we rarely eat where we are staying more than 1 or 2 nights, we eat there 5 nights, the owner is a great chef and prepared a different delicious meal for us every night.  We stayed in room 2 for 6 nights and was really glad we had chosen this place to stay. Cozy Cottage is located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the main town along a very scenic road, with the occasional monkey climbing along the overhead cables and trees. Our room (No. 2) is located at the end of the gardens with a sheltered outside area to sit and enjoy the garden. The room itself has 2 double beds that are comfortable and clothes rack and a couple of bedside tables to charge phones etc. The beds have mosquito nets hanging from the ceiling, although we didn’t find that we needed them. The shower room is a nice size and shower has good pressure and a steady stream of hot water, which was lovely after a long hot day. Breakfast was excellent with a slight variation from day to day, with an omelette, lavariya, small cup cakes, toast with jam and fruit. There is plenty of food and very filling, along with tea. Overall value for money the Cozy Cottage is excellent and would highly recommend if staying for a short or long stay.

Nice location. Friendly hosts who served us lovely breakfasts including boxed breakfast for an early departure. Clean and comfortable.

The location is convenient, and most restaurants and amenities are within walking distance. The sweet couple there went above and beyond. I was treated like a king as I was the only one staying. I was fortunate enough to try different local food for breakfast. If you're looking for a homely local experience this is the place.

“Run by a Friendly, Helpful couple”

This place is everything you'd want if seeking a peaceful, genuine family run stay. The couple who run it couldn't do more for you, are friendly and accommodating. We had plentiful breakfasts and added evening meals which were great, plus fresh fruit juices from trees in the garden. The location is on a quiet side road, easy with a car and OK to walk to (see google maps). The lady arranged tuk tuk to Sigiriya and 4x4 to Minneriya at reasonable prices - so we didn't need to, pick up at the door. Place is very clean and the couple do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable.

Owners were very friendly. The property was not too close to the main road. I appreciate the breakfast.

This place is homely..who ever comes here can be like home. The host Mom and Dad will take care of your needs. The rooms are very clean and neat. Recommend this place to any one who is willing to come here .

We spent 2 night in the cozy cottage, it was just perfect ! The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable, there are mosquitoes net, hot water ! The breakfast was also so good !! Thank you !! ❤️

Lovely place to stay in Habarana. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Large and yummy breakfast in the mornings. The owners couldn’t do enough for you. They were fab. Recently opened a restaurant where we ate for 2 nights. The food was delicious and a good price.

Everything was perfect. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked well, the shower had hot water. the breakfast was really good. The host couple was wonderful. They prepared a good dinner for us, at a good price. I can more than recommend! Best accommodation so far on our trip to Sri Lanka.

Very new and comfortable, quiet rooms in a tranquil garden. Only 10 mins to the main road. The owners are lovely and helpful. The breakfast included is excellent value and plentiful. Recommended!

The Cozy Cottage is in walking distance to the bus junction which is useful for trips to the places nearby (e.g. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya). The room was clean, spatious, had a fan and a mosquito net. Plug points were near the bed. The hosts were very helpful and kind. They made sure that everything was to our convenience. The local dinner they served is was excellent. Even on short notice they prepared a delicious meal. For our day trips they gave us breakfast to go - we appreciated it very much!
