Everything was perfect, wonderful lodge, magic garden, big pool and lovely people ! Dinner and breakfast very nice also. You have to visit this place !

Good value lodge with a beautiful well kept pool, friendly staff

The rooms were very spacious and clean with big bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good. We had dinner at the hotel one night and was very good.The pool was excellent, large and very clean. Also enjoyed the garden setting. The staff were wonderful and attended to every need.

We were made extremely welcome by all the staff. The room was large and comfortable. The pool was very welcoming in the heat!!. Breakfast was excellent with homemade fruit juices, a great selection of fresh fruit, and freshly cooked eggs and pancakes. Tut tut rides and safari jeep were provided by the family at a very reasonable rate.

Superb location run by a delightful local family. We had dinner as well as breakfasts there and it was delicious .The great pool was appreciated after a days sightseeing. Highly recommend this guest house.

“Perfect lodge for visit to Habarana and the surrounding area”

We stayed 3 nights in Manike lodge. Our room was lovey and big, it was a little humid but had great aircon. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Madhu and her family were charming and perfect hosts. Coming back to the pool each day was a bonus! The lodge is a 300 LKR ride from Habarana. We ate in town one night and at the lodge 2 nights where the delicious meal was cooked by Madhu’s mother, and far superior to our meal in the town.

We loved our time here! The location is quiet and peaceful but great for different activities in the area. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast is delicious. We also had dinner one night which was als very good! Would recommend!

“Amenities are not as on booking.com and over priced and over rated”

Did not have hot water shower and have to changed room ,there are 4 rooms and they are different from each other , did not happy with the first room given and had to complain to moved

“Great stay; we would come back any time”

The host family was living on the same property and made our stay very special. They helped us with all travel related questions, they made an incredible breakfast and we also had one dinner which was fried rice and kottu (big portion for 5000 Rs). One day we took a private Tuktuk, which the host ordered, and had a very comfortable journey to the Cave Temple. We decided to not do a safari but other guests did and they were very convinced by it. The rooms are really big and as there are only 4 rooms the place is not crowded. Each morning one of the hosts cleaned the pool, which we enjoyed a lot due to the high temperature outside. The stay was lovely and the property beautiful. We would suggest everyone to stay here for visiting the lions rock. To get to other restaurants we walked about 25 min but it was all save and everyone was really nice to meet.

We had a lovely stay at manike lodge. We booked with them last minute because the original place we booked at did not meet our expectations. When we arrived at manike, we immediately felt at ease. The family was amazing and we were always greeted with a smile. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and the room was Nice and big. They were so kind as well to help us with our laundry. It's a lovely place but the people make it even better!

“Lovely family, tranquil spot”

Lovely family who greeted us like friends. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable. The shower is lovely with plenty of hot water. Food is provided in the evening at extra cost. The garden and pool area provide a lovely spot to rest and relax. We liked it so much we came back again and were not disappointed.

The bed and room was large and comfortable. The family were so welcoming, always greeting us in the morning and when we returned from our day out. Ravi and Chamari were so kind and attentive. Chamari’s mother made fabulous coconut pancakes for breakfast and the most amazing vegetable pasties. Ravi helped us with our itinerary and booked transport for us (car, tuk, and jeep for elephant safari) we managed to grab an hour or so during our 3 day stay to relax by the pool and have a little swim.

We had an amazing time at Manike Lodge. The rooms are huuge, clean and well equipped. The location is a bit outside of town, but everything is in walking distance. The family who runs this place is really attentive, friendly and make your stay special. We really felt home, we stayed one night longer than planned. We highly recommend staying at Manike Lodge!

We had such a lovely stay! We were welcomed by the owner’s nephew – super nice, friendly, and spoke perfect English. He was very professional and handled everything perfectly, making us feel immediately at ease. His aunt was absolutely adorable – every morning she would prepare the most amazing coconut roti for me… they were out of this world! I’m still waiting for the video of the recipe, hehe 😄 They also arranged a super cute and friendly tuk tuk driver, who was always on time and extremely helpful. It made getting around so easy and fun! A truly warm and authentic experience, with wonderful people, delicious food, and great local support. Absolutely recommended!

The place is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature! What we recommend the most, beyond the beauty of the location and the comfort of the spacious and clean room, is the kindness of the hosts! They were really welcoming – we had the chance to taste typical dishes prepared for dinner (rice and kotthu), and they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for us at dawn before we left for Sigiriya. Rovi, the guy, was really kind – he spoke English well and helped us communicate with his family. Thank you again!
