An authentic tree house adventure with jungle surroundings! For adventurous souls, this is a must visit. Central location, with amazing scenery. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Can't rate our stay high enough!!

Feel great when you enter the hotel. The decor in the lobby makes you feel free and peaceful. The bedroom is awesome and the room is big with a super king size bed

“Jungle life”

The location is so special, you are really in the jungle! The hosts are amazing, they provide you all you need.. organazing safaris, tuktuks, offer dinner. Everything tastes so good and local! We enjoyed watching the monkeys, squirrels at the garden and pool! Special thanks to the owner and manager for the help with our cancelled flights, also for the calming words! We’ll never forget these days at your property!

Mutu Village was an unexpected delight - exceeding our expectations, where the pictures don’t do the landscaped setting or the quality of the villas justice! We’ve stayed in a few ‘treehouses’ over the years in Sri Lanka but this was by far the best resort: from the large beds, outside bathroom and huge deck with our favourite chairs (with extending arms so you can stretch your legs out fully!). Also a filtered water machine - rather than adding to the excess of plastic bottles we end up using over the weeks. Why do more places not do this too! We got great advice on the best Spa to visit and drivers for the Eco Park where we had the most incredible elephant experience…. Maybe because we didn’t want to leave (😉🤯) we managed to leave a phone behind on departure. Sameera phoned our driver a few hours later when they found it - realising it was too late for us to turn around he packed and organised for it to be couriered to us at a later stop. All handled with good humour and great care. Thoroughly recommend Mutu Village as your base to stay in Habarana!

“A fabulous experience of sleeping in a tree house!”

Loved staying in the jungle in these cute tree houses. It was a fabulous experience, especially showering outside with the monkeys overhead! The staff were really great and the property is in a good location that you can walk into Habarana.

“Amazing cottages in the middle of nature”

We had an amazing stay at mutu village in the middle of the nature. We stayed at the wooden cottages. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and there is a big nice terrace where you can observe the monkeys. The shower is outside which is really special but means also that there are some insects and small animals, which was totally fine for us as part of the experience. The pool was very nice, the kids loved it. All the personal are very friendly and helpful and Sameera supports with everything you plan. Thank you!

“Memorable stay”

Very authentic experience. All the tree houses blend in with nature, the shower hose is attached to a tree and the noise of the monkeys adds to the joy of staying here. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. Our laundry was beautifully washed and ironed and the maintenance man very quickly resolved the bathroom door not shutting. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but it was offered on a daily basis; I think they serve a different meal each evening. The manager could not have been kinder in offering practical help when my friend was unwell. We felt very safe and supported.

“Homely vibes amongst the monkeys”

A very immersive jungle-like experience in a homely family-run setting. After sampling a couple of colonial style hotels on the way, we spent several days in our tree house enjoying a much more authentic atmosphere. Macaques and squirrels are constant companions. The catering is local, tasty and reliably consistent (e.g. quite addictive egg hoppers for breakfast). You can chill at the refreshing pool when not on excursions and the town is within walking distance. But the key feature is the friendliness, from Sami and all his staff to the neighbours who gave us a tour of the nearby temple and mangoes from their garden.

Very Special accomodation!! Beautiful - own Whirlpool, Beautiful Room. Nice places to sit inside and outside. Very quiet. Nice outdoor bathroom. Good breakfast - very nice and friendly staff and the Manager Same, who Cared a lot. We Reserved 2 different categories and got an Upgrade - Highly appreciated!!

So chilled, lovely owner and staff. Breakfasts and the one dinner i had was re great, excellent coffee. The owner organised all travel. The pool is so nice but best of all is the outside shower in Hot water with monkeys overhead ❤️ I came away feeling very relaxed.

Perfect place for a family! Awesome food, the pool is so good! Without a doubt the best part of the property is the staff. Same and his team are magnificent- they make it feel like home. So flexible with requests and go out of their way to make a family feel welcome. I would recommend to anyone!
