What a wonderful place! We loved every aspect of our stay. The owner was incredibly generous, the property itself is beautiful, and the food was delicious with very generous portions. The staff were warm and welcoming, and highlights like breakfast in the pool made the experience even more special. The beds were very comfortable, and we enjoyed being surrounded by nature and wildlife. A special mention to the manager, who was very helpful. The list truly goes on. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

The staff were amazing and accommodating. The entire site was beautiful and the general vibe felt very authentic. It didn't feel like the resorts presence disturbed the natural environment as much as you would expect. Wild life still moved around the premises (apparently even elephants have been known to roam around there!) The rooms with the private pools is phenomenal!

The set up was so unique, we loved looking out for animals from the balcony. We enjoyed the floating breakfast. The staff were very helpful.

This was our favourite from all our stays in Sri Lanka! Having our own private pool was amazing and felt very special. The outdoor shower was great. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. They brought a lovely dinner to our room one evening and we also had our breakfast in the pool one morning. Amazing! We were given complimentary drinks for no reason. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The private pool in the treehouse was a very pleasant way to spend time and there were lots of animals during the day including two mongoose, which was lovely.

“Feeling as part of the jungle with friendly staff”

We really enjoyed the entire resort. It feels a bit like living in the jungle, which makes the experience quite unique. The tree houses are about three meters above the ground and built entirely from wood. Both the shower and toilet are open to nature, so you might occasionally find yourself sharing the moment with monkeys. The pool is well maintained and fits perfectly into the jungle atmosphere. We booked a package with breakfast and dinner, and the food was good throughout our stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. It’s a friendly place full of character, with a lovely green and relaxed feel. We stayed in the Family House for the first couple of nights and were then upgraded on our last night to one of the new villas at the back with a private pool, which was amazing. The reception team were incredibly helpful and helped us find good, safe trips at fair prices, which was especially reassuring as we were travelling with our two-year-old son. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it!

It was a real experience staying in a tree house. The layout of the complex was beautiful. The food was excellent, traditional Sri Lankan style buffet and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful.

We spent 4 nights at Habarana Ambasewana Resort and absolutely loved our stay. The tree houses are a real highlight — not only for us, but especially for our children. A truly unique experience! The rooms and the entire property are very clean, beautifully maintained, and invite you to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Service is clearly a top priority here: coffee, tea, and water were available free of charge at any time. The Sri Lankan dinner buffet is exceptionally delicious and offers a great variety of local dishes. If you plan to go on tours or excursions, we highly recommend arranging them directly through the hotel. We booked an ox cart ride, a boat tour, and a village visit for a fraction of the price compared to what online tour operators were offering. A wonderful place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere — we can highly recommend this resort!
