Our stay at Dudley Nature Resort was unforgettable and really because Dudley himself made it that way. Staying in such a tropical place with monkeys watching us have breakfast was so much fun. Dudley drove us to the Lion Rock himself and also arranged for us to have the best safari ever! Seeing so many elephants in the wild brought me to tears. We enjoyed his poolside barbeque both nights we were there. The room was basic, the pool was amazing, the stay was memorable. Thank you Dudley, you were fab!

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Staff were very kind and smiley. Pool was lovely to cool off in.

We stayed in the very spacious and gorgeous woodland lodge with outdoor shower. Maleesha and his team couldn't have done more to ensure we had a great stay - helping us with spa booking, organising transfers and recommendations for our onwards travel! Would thoroughly recommend.

Such a lovely spot with a very accommodating and all-able owner! Definitely recommend!

Nicely set up nature resort, with rooms set amongst the leafy flower beds. Friendly, welcoming staff. Food was generally quite good, and the barbecue night was excellent. Rooms were a pretty good size. Great location for safaris to Habarana and visiting Sigiriya Rock but set away from the main road.

Very relaxed stay with all facilities needed for a family of 4! The staff goes.beyond in every way. Maleesha (son of Dudley) is creating his own gem of a business (Woodland Sanctuary) right next to the beloved Dudley house. A true hidden gem that you don't want to miss! For now he has 2 villa's. But Maleesha is building his own restaurant and swimming Pool for the future. Keep up the beautiful work! Would love to see the result in the future! Can't wait.

“Overpriced and disappointing – not worth €120/night”

We paid €120/night expecting luxury, but got a dirty bathroom + many ants inside the toilet, broken door that doesn’t lock, leaking sink), filthy mosquito net, broken mirror, and a disgusting fridge. Power even went out. Breakfast was a disaster: toast hard as rocks, an ant inside a cake, another toast just left dead on the tray, and rotti that tasted old, not freshly made. The “BBQ”: drinks not included, and when I asked for one extra sausage I was told “no, get the one of your friend( I didn’t like other pieces). I had to eat one sausage and some potato while watching my companions get more. The owner even follows you counting every water bottle, charges for each one, and doesn’t offer a single free bottle – much cheaper hotels did. Other hotels in the same area offer true luxury for the same price, while here the owner spends on building new cabins instead of fixing the basics. Pool and A/C worked, but nothing justifies €120/night.

We stayed in one of the tree houses which was beautifully designed. Owner and staff were super accommodating going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. From great hospitality to arranging trips and drivers and even collecting us from the station. Thanks for an amazing time.

Enjoyed everything. The BBQ on our first night was good. The Rice and Curry buffet on the second night was delicious. Air conditioning and Wi Fi works ok. Safari organised by Dudley to Minneriya Park was amazing. We saw over a hundred elephants. Lucky us. The transfer he arranged for our onward travel was efficient . Overall it was good value for money.
