“Great value and quiet location”

Modern property with two large bright rooms. Fridge in room. Outside communal kitchen is also useful. Comfortable big bed and lovely bathroom with pumped hot water. Modern AC unit that works well. Nice balcony with table and chairs. Surrounded by shady trees. Nice safe area. Owner also runs boat tours. We did an early morning kayak guided tour which was excellent and he arranged breakfast for our return. Plenty of restaurants in the town and on the beach. Ten minutes by tuk tuk to bus and train stations.

We had a wonderful stay at this place and can genuinely recommend it. One of the biggest highlights was the hosts. They are extremely kind, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. You can also rent a scooter directly from them, which is cheaper than almost anywhere else around, and that made our stay much more convenient. The house is located in the forest, surrounded by nature, but at the same time very close to all essential facilities. Shops, cafés, and everything you might need are easily accessible by bike or on feet. The location feels peaceful and secluded, yet not isolated at all. After staying in several other guesthouses in Sri Lanka, we were very pleasantly surprised by the overall comfort and quality here. The house itself is new, very clean, beautiful, and well thought out. Everything feels fresh and carefully designed. The air conditioner is new and works perfectly. The bed is very comfortable with a good mattress, which is not always easy to find. There is an open kitchen, cozy lounge areas, and the whole setup feels stylish and intentional. Honestly, this is exactly how we would design a place if we were building a house for ourselves. The outdoor area is also lovely — green, calm, and perfect for relaxing. There is a lot of wildlife around: we saw monkeys, parrots, and many different birds, but at the same time the house feels safe, with no animals inside. The location is also great for exploring. Koggala Lake is nearby and easy to reach, and you can take a boat trip or safari there, which is very affordable when arranged locally.

Very spacious and clean room. Good bed and AC works very well. We loved the fact that there is an outside kitchen you can use. Run by a friendly family and contact with owner Dinesh was always nice.

We initially booked a stay for 2 nights but we loved the room and the surrounding area so we booked another night. We rented a scooter from Dinesh so we could go explore. The room also has a big terrace and outdoor kitchen for you to use. The garden is beautiful with a lot of plants and animals in it. Dinesh gave us a little tour with some explanations. On the morning of the last day he also drove us to the train station. We would highly recommend this room.

Big and new clean room. Nice and calm location, perfect if you have your own scooter/car. Hosts are friendly, we did a last minute booking so did not meet the main host

The room is big and super nice. Beautiful design and everything was really clean. All the family are really kind and friendy, they really help with everything. The area is very chill which was perfect for us to rest. In scooter you are close to ahangama and unawatuna city to have some dinner. Its really close to koggala beach, for us was the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka. We loved to stay here. We feel really good. Thank you Dinesh and all the family!

The location of the homestay was ideal. Situated in a peaceful neighborhood, it offered a serene environment while still being close to local attractions. The rooms were very clean, comftable and I really liked the style. The host dinesh and his family were super helpful and friendly. One of the best stays I had in Sri Lanka. It is also very good for long-term stays

Clean rooms. Friendly owners. I have been to many guest houses in Sri Lanka and this one pleasantly surprised me.

The room was clean and minimalistic as i like and which is hard to find. Really bright and a lot of space. Very comfortable to stay. All new. The family was very kind and helpful a lot. I was there just for a night but had some really good rest.
