The Zen Koggala Sugar Coliving is perfect for those who wants to escape for noisy streets in the city area to relax, read or work remotely and relax. The Manager arranged a boat trip at the Koggala lake. Else not much to do there, than relax! The hotel restaurant has good rice and curry👏

Beautiful hotel for someone who wants to enjoy peace and quiet right next to a lake.

We booked the President’s Suite with a bathtub and absolutely loved our room. It was truly fantastic. One of our favorite moments was relaxing in the bathtub while watching birds and even bats outside – such a unique and memorable experience. The pool was very large, well-maintained, and pleasantly heated, which made it perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The location by the lake is beautiful and idyllic, adding to the peaceful atmosphere of the property. We really liked the entire facility and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The value for money was also very good. There was a small misunderstanding at check-out regarding the Booking.com conditions about whether breakfast was included or not. It was surely just a minor misunderstanding and did not significantly affect our overall experience. Thank you for the wonderful stay – we truly enjoyed it.

The new team recently took over the property, and they’re slowly turning it into a really nice yoga retreat centre. I actually hope to join one of their programs in the future. Ahangama and the popular beach areas are only about 10 minutes away, so it’s easy to get around. Everything has been good here so far.

I can't even explain how perfectly positioned this property is—it’s just spectacular. What a lovely hotel with a cool concept and design. The staff are so nice, really friendly, and the whole atmosphere is genuinely calming. If you're looking for a peaceful environment, you seriously need to come here. 100% recommend!

“Must visit!”

From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were officially on holiday. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks, and even though we arrived a few hours early, our room was already ready. The room was huge, which was a great change after staying in smaller places around Sri Lanka. The swimming pool is beautiful and overlooks part of the lake, so you can relax or swim with a peaceful view. There aren’t restaurants or supermarkets within walking distance, but a tuk tuk to the main road is about 380R one way, where you’ll find shops and places to eat. The area around the hotel is quiet and lovely for walks, with friendly locals, family homes, and a calm atmosphere. The bed was comfortable and shower super modern and clean. The room was 10/10 clean. The hotel has recently been bought and is already a great stay, with plans for further renovations, yoga sessions, and zen activities. I can’t wait to return! Nature is a highlight here, we had peacocks and squirrels right by our balcony. The staff truly go above and beyond, especially the manager, Salia, and the kitchen even helped prepare food we brought ourselves..

Location was nice but the hotel was under renovations there were No soap and milk in the room Manager was really nice and helpful Meals were Too expensive

We recently stayed at Zen Koggala by Sugar Co-Living. The location is perfect close to all the main attractions. The facilities were excellent, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the very beginning. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
