Home away from home! The accommodation is in an area with separate access from the one used by the hosting family. Private kitchen, private bathroom, private terrace with a nice big aquarium. Everything was clean as promised. Nilu was simply a perfect host, she was there when needed, but never obtrusive. Guys, do YOURSELVES a favor and ask her to cook dinner for you! In the last evening we had a fantastic grilled fish that I will remember for a long time. (Muhudu Kukula is the common name of this fish in Sri Lanka, some say Pothubari and in the English version, it is called sea chicken)

The hostess was always present and fulfilled all of our questions and requests. Everything was fantastic.

The stay at Mallis Guesthouse was definitely the best I had during my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Nilu and her family made me feel like a true part of the family, she is an exceptionally kind and supportive host. She helped me with a ton of things and surprised me many times with little and not so little treats. The apartment is very well equipped and a great place to hang out, also for longer times. I would come back any time :)

Awesome place in nature, very quiet and 5 min from the beach. The host is super kind and always ready to help (in addition she’s a great cook). I loved staying here and would definitely recommend it!

We had a wonderful time at Mallis Guesthouse with a warm welcome from this lovely family. The appartement is spacious, very clean and fully equipped with a high standard. Mallis wife Nilu is not only a lovely and perfect host and extraordinary chef, she is an inspiration on how we should treat each other as humans. We thank her so much for everything she did for us and everything we learnt from her about Sri Lanka's culture and Buddhism. Special thanks also to Peter in Germany, who supports the family with the bookings. We highly recommend to spend more time there if you want to experience the real Sri Lanka.

“High recommended place”

Very helpful hosts, they gave rice and curry every day, the villa is nice and clear. Aquarium with light makes cozy atmosphere. Koggala beach is like a wild beach and beautiful. I recommend to go to the lake with boat safari - you will see crocodile, a lot of monkeys , varans and birds

The house is a separate house near owners house. Couple is very accomodative, caring and friendly. We enyojed patio, Nilu made us great dinner, cared if we need something, we were mostly communicating in watsapp, so we could have our privacy. Place is very convinient, especially sofa as a lounge zone, which is not common for the most apartments in Sri Lanka.
