Perfect location for relaxing near nature and for boat tours around the lake. The hosts were very accommodating from helping us wash our clothes, to a boat tour to frequent check-ins. We were very comfortable in this area and enjoyed watching the monkeys from the balcony.

The owners are lovely - Kelum has a bike for rent as well as a tuk tuk and a small taxi so he can help with tours to Ella etc. Upstairs room has lovely view and v peaceful location with balncony away from the noisy road and close to the lake. They organised a very reasonably priced taxi to the airport and also let me use a room before i left and they didn't charge me which was very helpful and kind. My bed was very comfy - great mattress and very clean room (which is the important thing really when travelling on a budget. I didn't need the hot water but it is there and available if you ask them (something to do with pressure). Kelums wife kindly did some laundry for me. Habaraduwa is an untouristy local village and close to Ahangama but well away from the tourist traps. I genuinely loved the pace of local life here and Habaraduwa has a large unspoilt beach that's not developed (yet).

Amazing house, in nature. The hosts were so kind and welcoming! 🥰 We spent New Year's Eve with their family and it was just perfect! Incredible breakfast as well! 😋 Unfortunately, my partner needed medical attention, but the lady took us to the hospital and she took care of us, just like a mother, we're so grateful. 💖

This place has become very special to us. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is amazing (both breakfast and dinner). Koggala lake is a place easy to skip for most tourists, however we had some lovely days there; we enjoyed an afternoon boat tour (arranged by the host) that was beautiful, and rented a scooter for the day at the accommodation that allowed us to see some hidden gems in the area! It is a really special place we recommend everyone looking for some peace and quiet to enjoy.

The local host couple super friendly and hospitable, speaking very good English and German. The welcome coconut very delicious. Plenty of local food for breakfast along with plenty of coffee/tea and a smoothie. Place is near the lake and surrounded by jungle and just a few local houses here and there. Overall a wonderful experience in this haven with local Buddhist monasteries around and the beautiful beach only 25 min. walking or quick tuktuk ride away.

The breakfast was amazing. It’s a very peaceful place and also very close to everywhere you might want to go. The hosts are wonderful people. They helped me a lot with everything. The host also a local guide. Thanks to him, i learned a lot about sri lanka. I also thank them for always offering tea.

kelum and rahni are good people and the most wonderful hosts, they made me feel at home from the first moment I arrived. the location is so beautiful, serounded by nature, you can see so many monkeys and birds on the trees and the beautiful lake is just a minute walk. rahni also makes delicious food, and will offer you tea and coffe at any time. if you are looking to be serounded by nature in a quiet beautiful place this is the place to be.

Very nice and helpful hosts and very good breakfast. It was very peaceful and inspiring to sit on the upper veranda and watch birds, monkeys, and sunrise. You can't see the lake anymore but it's just a stonethrow away and there you can dine at the excellent kola cafe watching crocs and more birds. Fantastic!! The host can arrange an interesting boat trip for you.

Calm house, located next to the lake. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was huge and very good! While eating you could watch the monkeys climbing around the house. The hosta even lent us their scooter and drove us to our next location.

I've stayed here before and it's a very nice place and the owner and his wife are very kind and the food is delicious. They treated us like family. I hope to come back for a longer vacation. There are really many places to see. Thank you for everything you did for us.

“Truly Amazing guesthouse in amazing location”

The house was amazing, room was big and clean with amazing views from balcony. Every day monkeys in the trees as you watch on 🐒 The family running it are just the most loving and kind people you could meet, simply could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable and it was a privilege staying with them in their house for a few days. The food, well what can I say. Unbelievably good local food, loads of it and really good value for money. It’s about 30 minutes walk down to the beach or Tuk Tuk about 400rps. Just around the corner is a little bar / restaurant called the Crab run by a local guy called Sasitha. Good option for sunset beer. Guesthouse can arrange lake boat trips at good price in good boat (some are rusty old things). This was the perfect place to avoid crowds and really enjoy real Sri Lanka❤️🙏

The kindness of the hosts was touching. Very helpful, warm, and friendly. They provided me with magnificent dinner upon request and a breakfast that could serve armies! Very happy with the stay.

The setting is a welcome change of pace. It's just around the corner from the beautiful lake and a little slice of jungle paradise! The rooms are incredibly cheap for what you get and the breakfast was delicious and massive! We loved getting to know Kawya and when we left the owner (sorry, but forgotten your name), drop us in his Tuktuk for less than the pickme price!
