We were greeted by the most incredibly welcoming Luisa. All the staff were only too happy to help and ensure that you had everything you needed to make for a perfect stay. We had a fabulous stay and it is in an ideal location to explore Haarlem. The plans for changes sound amazing and hopefully we will return at some point to see the changes. We would have no hesitation In recommending this Hotel to others, so many well thought out touches. Thank you for making the start of our Europe travel amazing!

I absolutely adored the building and its interiors, they’ve done a wonderful job preserving it while also clearly and thoughtfully sharing its history. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We were also pleasantly surprised to be offered a bottle of champagne, which was a lovely touch. On top of that, the location is fantastic.

We loved everything about this historic boutique hotel. First of all the friendly service of Lars & Luisa who looked after us for our 3 night stay was exceptional. The room we had chosen was large & the bed was super comfortable. There is a lift and the decor is classy. The breakfast is simple, fresh and coffee good. It is a 10 minute walk to train station (we chose Haarlem as our base) We would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel.

MAF Haarlem is truly a hidden gem. Housed in a beautiful historical building, the space is both spacious and stylish, with carefully curated art pieces that add a distinctive character throughout. What made the experience even more special was the staff—exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive, creating a genuinely pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The location is another highlight. Haarlem itself is charming, authentically Dutch, and much quieter than the crowds of Amsterdam—yet incredibly convenient, just about 20 minutes away by train. It offers the perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility.

A really clean room which was tidied up every day we stayed. The room was really quiet too and had some great sleep as the bed was also really comfortable.
