Communication with the host was excellent. We were delighted by the thoughtful gesture of a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, which made us feel very welcome. The apartment is situated in a convenient and pleasant location, making it easy to explore the area. It’s well-equipped, practical, and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Hard to improve on such a great location - close to the historic centre with a wealth of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. There is a regular bus from the airport (No 300) which stops just outside the property. The station is a 10-15-minute walk away and frequent trains take you to Amsterdam Central in 20 minutes. The studio apartment is on the ground floor of a building and although compact had everything we needed for a base where we essentially needed a place to sleep. Great shower! Communication with the hosts was very good and we were given lots of useful info in a timely way; we also greatly appreciated the early check-in!

Location was near perfect. A cute place in the city center, but not in one of the busiest streets. The bathroom was spacious, it was nice that the beds had 2 separate matresses. The floor heating was very comfy. The shower worked well, though it would have benefitted from a curtain (less draft). Hosts were very helpful (available digitally), they made a nice booklet about Haarlem. Wifi worked great.

The location is perfect for visiting Haarlem, one of my favourite cities. Everything you need is only metres away and although in the city centre it is in a very quiet road. Communication with the owners was very responsive and personalised. I was visiting with 8 family members who all stayed in a local hotel. They all agreed that Damietta would be their preferred choice for future visits.

Perfect location. Very comfortable and immaculately clean. We didn’t meet the hosts but they left a lovely bottle of wine, a good supply of teas and coffees with cups and plates etc if needed.

Great location. Only 15 mins by train to Amsterdam so a great place to stay if you don't want the crowds in the evening. Very good choice of restaurants.

The location is fabulous. Exactly as described. Haarlem is a beautiful place. It is an 18 min train ride into central Amsterdam, Haarlem is the perfect place to get out of the hustle and bustle. Walking distance to the station, but there is a bus stop right outside if you have luggage. The accommodation has under floor heating and was very warm. Large bathroom (with a bath tub!), very helpful and generous hosts. It was just the right size for two of us. We would absolutely stay again if we found ourselves in Haarlem in the future.

LOcation is excellent, it's a 3 min walk to the town center and 1 min walk to the taxi/uber drop off/pickup point. Our host very graciously agreed to hold our bags as our flight arrived at 8am. Better yet, they completed cleanup and were ready for us well in advance of normal pick up time. We were very appreciative as we were dog tired from our flights from Hawaii.

Located really down-town in a side street. Awesome location to reach any shop or restaurant in the city. In a bustling city like Haarlem you have to expect the occasional talking bypasser when you are nearing the weekend, which usually kicks off on Thursday evenings. So my pro tipp, if you are very sensitive to the occasional "noise" you should bring earplugs. Damietta has, as you so so often find it in Haarlem and similar places in the Netherlands, a unique style of interior, which you cannot really describe - everything harmonizes and falls into place. Just great taste, coziness, everything you need for short and longer stay abouts. And there is even a bathtub - bathing gel included. Separate shower with shampoo and shower gel, too, self-speaking! The little things - a proper umbrella stands at your service, which comes in handy with the "occassional" rain. Right away booked my next stay. Recommended!
