“Winter magic in Haapsalu”

Owner was very warm and kind. As I was using the book "Eesti mütoloogia algajale" as a travel guide, I was not dissapointed to find kind house spirits (koduvaimed) in Koidu Homestay. Don't be scared to travel in winter. Haapsalu is beautiful and fireplace is burning hot. Place is close to nature, you will meet wild animals.

Very nice host and a free sauna. Too bad he didn't speak any English but we managed to communicate anyways.

The best owner, told about the city of Haapsalu and suggested the places to visit.

Spacious, comfortable house. When we arrived it wqs very, very clean. There is also a GIABTNT jaccuci which nobody seem to mention. Last but not least, the guy running the place is super, super frienldy and relaxed.

The owner is the nicest man in Estonia. I like him and the place. It was my second time at this house. I can truly recommend it. There is also a sauna 😁

“Felt so much like a HOME, So Cozy, Koit the Owner was so so kind and helpful, a gentleman to the T”

Location was fine, we enjoyed the reserve at the rear of the homestay. Koit the homestay owner was very kind to pick us up from the bus station. The homestay made of wood on the inside was superb, just loved it, The facilities were very good, Koit is a very kind and helpful gentleman, even took us to the shopping centre and shared a glass of wine on the last day.

“Lovely home stay.”

This was a God send for us as we had had a very long and wet day cycling and were late arriving. The host has very little English but we managed fine as she was very friendly and helpful. This is essentially someone's house and the host was adamant that we make ourselves at home and use the kitchen and whatever we wanted. It was a nice cultural experience and a good way to see what it is like in these big wooden houses that are all over Estonia. There were other people staying there and there was a shared bathroom but it felt quite private and was very comfortable.

I get Sauna as the bonus. Who knows was it Saturday's fault, other guests or shining stars.

Nice and good place, if you need place where spent a night.

The owner of the facility is a very nice gentleman who showed me everything and at the beginning asked if he should prepare the sauna for today for me:) In the hostel is also nice fire place.

The host introduced the property nicely and was helpful. Use of bicycles and a sauna was offered to us free of charge. We were offered a room in the smaller house, the room was spacious and it had a balcony with 2 chairs. The room had a private toilet. We felt the overall value for money was high. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to a friend.

Owner is really nice and welcoming. Speaks only Russian or German but was put through his daughter on phone to do the translation and explain things to me. Use of sauna at night was offered although Indod not take advantage of it. Quiet and comfortable room.

Very cosy place to stay! Beautiful location & host is so friendly and helpful! 5 stars for hospitality! I really enjoyed it here! Using the bike made it 10x easier and more fun to get around.

Pretty decent stay, about 1 km from the centre of town. It is run by a private person, not a professional hotel, so it comes with some of the idiosyncrasies that every lived in home has. But within those constraints, it is a very good value for the money, the host is very friendly, brought me up to speed on what can be touristed in town and tried to accomodate my questions (I was travelling by bike and needed a place to put it away safely from prying eyes because it is a pretty good carbon bike, it probably won't survive for longer than an hour if chained to someplace in Amsterdam or Antwerp; in Haapsalu, it is maybe not that tough, but you never want to take too many chances), so I felt welcomed. The kitchen and fridge were shared and totally adequate, same for the sanitary installations.

Koit is a wonderful host and his dog Harry is soo nice! The sauna is terrific! A great experience. Overall, a great place and a great host!

“Felt like staying at friends place.”

We had fantastic time! It was like staying at your friend's or relatives house; you can use everything in the kitchen, also the sauna and the bikes! The host, Koit, is a kind gentleman and was always willing to help. We also met other travellers there and enjoyed nice conversations with them. At this price it is obviously not a luxury stay, the house is old but cozy. This place is perfect for those hoping to meet local people and have authentic experience.
