Located in the Old Town of Haapsalu on Estonia’s West Coast, Hermannuse Maja is right next to the scenic ruins of Haapsalu Castle. The first-floor balcony overlooks the castle walls. Hermannuse Maja’s traditionally furnished rooms feature satellite TV, a work desk, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Estonian dishes are served in the ground-floor café and pub, which features a cosy fireplace. The walls are decorated with periodic exhibitions of photographs and paintings by Estonian artists. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Free public parking is available at the Hermannuse Maja guesthouse or 50 metres away.

Decent little room, good location and very cheap. Room was clean but shows its age. Downstair bar has good snacks and cocktails.

Nice room with all the comforts you need. Possible to make tea or coffee or warm up food next to the rooms. Easy access with the keybox so late arrival is perfect as well.

Nice, small hotel, perfect location. The breakfast option was not available on Mondays, so we could use the small kitchen corner to make our own breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay because Hermannuse Maja is a guest house which adjoins the ruins of St Mary's Episcopal Church. A superb location embedded in Haapsalu Old Town. Great for walking, sight seeing and eating. The rooms are quite large with high ceilings. There is a separate communal kitchenette area with two comfortable armchairs.

“comfortable stay in a beautiful place”
Beautiful location right next to the castle. We arrived a bit late due to a missed boat. No problem: delicious food and drinks until 10:30 pm. And a very extensive breakfast. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!!
