A wonderful place to stay! We had such a lovely time here. The room was great, with a nice bathroom and a great balcony. The restaurant was great, and particularly the included breakfast was phenomenal! The staff were super lovely and helpful. Location was great, right by the beach and relatively quiet.

“Superb stay at Amara”

Comfortable bed, spacious room, lots of hanging space, had a large balcony, great bathroom. Beachfront location which was amazing for many delightful swims, GREAT breakfast! The Amara restaurant was a bit pricey but very, very delicious food! Good pool, was shady most of the day. Great lounge chairs. The receptionist/hotel manager was super attentive, lovely, had great suggestions and was a pleasure to deal with! There were water shortages on the island but we didn't notice because staff handled it so well! I met someone who said they come back to Amara every year and I can see why - this place was fantastic! 10/10 would recommend. I was sad to leave.

“Good Enough on a Beautiful Beach”

Overall, it's about average for what's available in this part of Koh Phangan — assuming you book early. The room is perfectly fine, though there's no escaping the fact that you're essentially tucked down an alley between the beach and the main road and shops. That said, it is on one of the best beaches on the island. Breakfast is decent — fine for what it is, but nothing to write home about. The restaurant, on the other hand, is pretty good.

Considering everything, we think it was perfect spot for us to stay more than week :) We liked the facilities a lot, nice pool. Great restaurant! Friendly staff, nice view and great sleep :) Good location and everything you need is around the corner. Loved it :)

Loved the restaurant on site and the gorgeous rescue dog Lola! Staff were lovely and the room was comfortable. Right on the beach.

“Blissful beachfront holiday location”

My partner and I felt right at home staying at Amara resort and loved relaxing in the bar and restaurant. We had a pool side room for 3 days initially but ended up extending to 6 we loved it here so much. The location itself is perfect… right on the beach with deck chairs to enjoy, amazing sunset views and amongst some other great restaurants to eat too! The food and cocktails were delicious! We went for the buffet breakfast with our accommodation and were super happy we did. There was a choice of Continental or hot breakfast with eggs cooked to your taste. The staff were so friendly. You could tell it was a great place to work. We loved the warm welcomes, good morning and smiles from all the staff, whilst they still respected our privacy when we were in the pool or on our verandah. We are queer couple travelling and would absolutely recommend Amaras as a queer friendly establishment. We would 100% come and stay here again.

A very nice and well-maintained accommodation. The rooms are fitted with everything you need. The room was cleaned every day and the towels changed every day. The breakfast is more than enough and delicious, the staff is very friendly. The FunDive I booked went very smoothly and was really good! I can recommend this accommodation at any time. I felt very comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size room with patio, airco, minibar, water cooker and fan. Every day cleaning of the room. Good breakfast. Small but pleasant swimming pool and location on the beach. Scooter rental and laundry service nearby. Excellent price/quality ratio.

The room and most importantly the bed was SUPER comfortable. Good quality mattress, great linen, wonderful night's sleep. Also very tasty selection for breakfast. Thank you friendly and helpful Amara team for helping extend our stay! Would come back anytime!
