Like Taking a Bite of the Best Tomato of Your Life Without a doubt, this is our favorite place on Koh Phangan. This was our second stay here. After spending three nights during our first visit, choosing this place again for our next vacation was an easy decision. From the moment you wake up, you are greeted by a breathtaking view that reminds you how lucky you are to be here. Everything is spotless, thoughtfully designed, and filled with genuine care. The mattresses are exceptionally comfortable, the crisp bed linens make every night’s sleep a pleasure, and waking up to such a beautiful view feels almost unreal. The owners are a wonderful family who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Sofia speaks Russian, which was incredibly convenient for us and made communication effortless. And then there are the breakfasts. Today, I tried shakshuka for the very first time — real shakshuka, prepared from the Israeli family recipe. I had eaten “shakshuka” before, but now I realize those were only imitations. This is the flavor I will forever associate with true shakshuka. The combination of the homemade cheese and the rich tomato sauce creates something extraordinary — the taste of that perfect tomato: vibrant, naturally sweet, beautifully acidic, and full of character. Every bite feels alive. If Michelin inspectors ever happened to visit this corner of paradise, I have no doubt this breakfast alone would earn a recommendation. A heartfelt thank you to the entire family for creating such a special place. Your hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care make this more than just a place to stay — it feels like a home away from home. Places like this are rare, and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic location, 5 minutes from the Haad Rin pier. Amazing view of the water and the rooms are very clean and spacious. It's my second time staying there, it's always a pleasant experience.

“Beautiful view”

Amit and Sofia were lovely, helpful hosts. Always willing to offer advice for where to go on the island, Amit gave us a full day itinerary for exploring the north on our scooter. The room we were in was immaculate and had a beautiful balcony view of Koh Samui across the water, great for breakfast. There was a good amount of space for us to exist in for a week, with good wifi and a desk if needed for work. A short walk to the beach was nice, but there are better beaches on the island. Considering the proximity to Haad Rin, it was a very quiet spot. There are a few restaurants, a laundrette, and a large 7/11 within walking distance too. Another plus wasl Coral resort just up the road that allowed use of their pool if you buy a drink from the bar.

It was the best experience we had so far on our Thailand trip with hotels/accommodations! The room was very clean, the view from our room was amazing and all of the staff was very friendly! Amit is one of the nicest hosts I’ve met, very relaxed and helpful. Bike rental is also available within the facility. All in all I can only recommend this place and especially Amit as a host, would definitely go there again!

“Very friendly staff, clean and tidy room. Nothing to remark from the booking.”

Firstly, I need to say that the staff was very friendly and nice. The Boss really makes you feel included, as if we were a part of the «neighbourhood». The food at the restaurant was very good. There is also a store next to the main road; very neat. The room was tidy and clean, all applications listed in the booking was supplied. The road that goes up and through the apartments and tents is very steep, but we got transported up to the restaurant as a part of our arrival. Very comforting, especially when you are travelling a lot and are carrying alot of things. Joy Houses offered bike rental, in which we did and this was a very seamless and easy process. We were very happy to also receive good tips and notes about the island and the full moon party. Only a 15 minute walk from here. We will most likely stay here again in the future.

The owners went beyond themselves to make sure we have everything we need. The bed was very comfortable and pillows were soft which is not common in Thailand

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, air con working, hot water with good pressure, beautiful view over the sea from the terrace, very friendly stuff. Next to the beach anf not too far from Haadrin. Amit is avery dedicated host! Truly amazing. He sometimes dropped me off to haad rin because i didnt have a scooter. He had also very good recommendations to nice places since he knows the island very well.

The owner Amit was incredibly nice and helpful. He even drove us to the next place we stayed. He is a very chill guy. Also the room was very clean and there were no insects inside, which we highly appreciated. We felt very comfortable, although the room we had was a bit too small for us. But there are bigger options aswell, its just the only one that was left. They were fully booked, which is understandable. It is a very sweet spot. However, we booked at 10pm for the same night and we were happy we ended up here. You can tell the really give their best to make sure youre comfortable, which is a very nice feeling for a guest.

It's a great, family run business and the hosts are extremely nice and willing to show their favorite spots around the island. The room itself had a fantastic view and is located in a quiet, yet very accessible part of Phangan, next door to the pier. Took us 4 minutes to get to. Highly recommend!

The owner, Amit, was incredibly helpful and made me feel right at hom, he even dropped me off at my next stay in Haad Rin. The views from Joy Houses are amazing, and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby. It’s located just a little away from the party center, making it perfect if you want peace and quiet while still being close enough to enjoy the nightlife when you choose. Everything was very clean, and the beach is just a short walk away. Highly recommend Joy Houses for a relaxed and comfortable stay in Haad Rin. 🌴✨
