Charung Beach is located in Haad Rin. This beachfront accommodation offers a garden and free WiFi. It is 300 metres from the Full Moon Party (Haad Rin Nai) and 600 metres from Haad Rin Nok. Location great, walking distance to full moon party, shops within walking distance. Staff all very friendly. Right beside a small beach, feels like a private beach as not a lot using it. Good air con.

“Ignore the bad reviews if you’re staying at Charung whilst you’re backpacking or to party”
We didn’t have high expectations for this property, considering the reviews and how little we paid over new year’s and the full moon, but we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was, and particularly the great location. We had a lovely little bungalow that felt safe and secure, benches and chairs outside for socialising, and we could walk 15 metres and we were on the beach! The beach was lovely, clean and well kept which was a nice contrast to Haadrin beach which (although was beautiful) was obviously very dirty and polluted. We couldn’t believe how short a walk it was to all the restaurants, bars, shops and the full moon party. We were dead chuffed with our find.

“Not great, not terrible...”
The location was pretty perfect for Full Moon, you were everywhere pretty quickly on foot, but you could sleep when you were done with the party (and get back to it 3h later :D), the staff was nice enough and you got two towels and two pillows.

“Great location for the full moon party”
We upgraded upon arrival to an air conditioned room as we booked the huts with the fan at the front of the hotel, these huts are very very hot, very small and not very clean but the staff gave us a very good price to upgrade. The staff where really nice and friendly very helpful whenever you needed her. The room we upgraded up was nice and spacious, clean, comfy bed nice shower good balcony area if you want to mingle with the people around you

“Bad”
Don’t stay here. Worst accommodation I have ever had in my life and I have been to many bad places. Almost 1000 Bhat a night and I stayed in a shack. The door wasn’t even on properly(broken so bad when I tried to open it the bottom half of the door was stuck to the ground which cracked the wooden door even more) there was 0 security. One kick and the door is gone. No air-con, ant infestation in the room and the toilet is rotten. I thought it would be ok based on some reviews but don’t chance your arm. Had to get up and leave it was that bad. Also toilet didn’t flush the whole time we were there, there was a fan but it felt like hot air in that tiny room. Also fan was dusty and shot out bits of dust on us while we slept. Came back to a ground full of hundreds of ants one day. It’s hotter in the room than it is outside.
