Fantastic location if you seek a private location out of town.

“Beautiful and relaxed setting”

We were nicely welcomed by Melina who deals with the reservations and english/French speaking customers. The owner Elias, and his brother don't speak much english, but they are welcoming generous and charming with the customers. They serve breakfast at the beach bar. The lady who helps with the cooking and rooms is also friendly and helpful. We loved the hotel , the setting, the gardens directly in the most wild and quiet part of the long Mavrovouni beach. Plenty of protected turtle nests around, but we missed our chance to see them laying at night.

Nice wildlife, flora & fauna around the property. Proximity to Gytheio, Aeropolis, and Glyfada caves. 4 beds for four people, which is rare to find (usually 3 beds & 1 couch is what is available). Staff tried to be helpful in any way they could.

This is the place you want to stay for privacy, peace, and relaxation. Our host was very responsive with any problems or questions and so nicely left us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary but otherwise left us in peace. The grounds were beautiful to wake up to. Absolute quiet in the morning was our favourite time, waking to birds and nothing else. We took our morning coffee and sat near the beach bar area before anyone arrived and enjoyed the beach view.we stayed 4 nights and would have loved a week stay. Close enough to drive to nearby towns to explore for the morning, then spend the afternoon lazing on the beachfront.I have read other reviews as this is how we decide on our bookings and yes the kitchenette could be bigger or updated but it does the job, and maybe some bottled water to make coffee and a little milk left in fridge would be a nice touch if you forgot to grab these necessities but there is a supermarket not 5 mins drive away, along with beachfront tavernas or ten mins further is the beautiful town of Gythio with Taverna's all along the waterfront. To us, what we are paying for is the privilege of accessing one of the most beautiful beaches we have used in Greece. I'm pretty sure if you stay here, you will have your own vehicle as it's not a place to catch a taxi to. Thank you for having us, and we totally recommend your beautiful place to stay.

“Private, clean property with many amenities”

We really liked the grounds and the beach. Some of the grounds needed some yardwork but all in all, very pretty. Easy walk to the close beach. There was not one other person on the beach. A little bit choppy but lovely private area. Long beach for a nice walk. Breakfast is not included but is only 10 Euros and certainly worth it. Fresh orange juice, eggs, sandwiches, cheese, fruit, etc. Very nice. Host does not speak much English but more than happy to try and accommodate you. Nice and clean rooms. Also quiet area. Very safe property.

“Comfortable, peaceful, beautiful beach, turquoise waters, smiling faces”

As we stopped several times on the way from Athens to Ktima Petalea, we arrived around midnight. Melina and Ilias were waiting for us to make sure that we arrived safely and received the keys without any problem. When we woke up, we saw that we were few steps away form the beach and the beutiful clean sea, no noise, no roads, no crowds. It was so peaceful. A simple breakfast with good cappuccino freddo was waiting for us in the cafeteria, where you can also find snacks for lunch. Ilias' daughters Maria and Stavroula help with the service with their beautiful smiles and made us feel home. It is very close to Gytheio, where you can find good restaurants and cafes. It is also very convenient to visit Mani or go East to see Monemvasia and Elafonisos Island. Ktima Patelea is the kind of place that you know you will visit again...

“What a perfect relaxing break”

The maisonette was located in a privilege spot at the far end of a long beach in the Mani The property has only few maisonettes to rent, with own sun beds so it never gets crowded. An excellent place to relax with all the modern cons. The breeze of the Aegean sea was the perfect balance to the high end of August temperatures.

The location and setting was fantastic and the hosts were excellent - very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to serve us and help us.

Amazing property in a huge garden with its own secluded beach with a beach bar. Very kind owners, very good communicators, helped us with everything from check-in and even after check-out.
