After a few busy days in Seoul and Busan, Gyeongju was the perfect nature retreat to unwind. Yasoun is a lovely host and an incredibly talented chef. This is by far the most hospitable accommodation we visited in all of South Korea, complete with a beautiful garden full of super yummy, juicy borisu fruit! Highly recommended

Yasun has been a fantastic host and we've enjoyed the stay at her hanok, which proved to be a real experience. Yasun is a talented artist and everything she offers to you during your stay is done with passion, care and attention to detail. She gave us excellent advice on what to visit in the neighborhood and where to havd a delicious break and snack. Although the hanok is not in the city centre, the city is easy to reach by bus or taxi.

Our 4 night stay was amazing. Our host Jeong Hee was so friendly & welcoming, it was like being in your own home. Being winter we loved the heated floors & overall coziness of the Hanoi. “Unforgettable authentic experience”

Here you can forget that you’re staying in a rented house. It feels like visiting your favourite aunt for summer holidays. We loved the traditional house - cozy, comfortable, beautifully decorated. Resting, chatting and sleeping have never felt more right and enjoyable. The outside was simply a gem to look from your windows. We had delicious authentic breakfast, requests (for additional water, tea etc.) realised in seconds. The hostess recommendations help you discover the neighbourhood and beyond. To see the latter there is a bus stop 10min walk through the hanok village. Or one can always take taxi to Gyeongju centre or Bulguksa. It was the best stay we have ever had and would give more points if we could.

A wonderful place with an amazing atmosphere and an exceptionally warm-hearted owner. It was a beautiful experience. We will remember it with gratitude.

My name is Sophie and me and my partner Stephen loved our stay at Yasun Gallery back in April 2025, wanting to experience the full traditional way of living in Korea this met our expectations exactly and was really interesting and fun. Our host was lovely and so helpful during our stay she made us amazing traditional Korean breakfasts the 3 days we stayed there each different but equally delicious. “A place of beauty, full of intention and personality.”

We only stayed for 4 days, but the experience was so rich and fulfilling it felt like we were there for weeks. We spent our days hiking in the mountains, visiting the temples and buddha's, drinking tea with the monks. Jeong Hee, the host, has created her own little paradise on earth. She serves the most beautiful, tasty and nutritious break fest everyday at 9:00. In the end she teached us calligraphy as well, which made us feel even more connected to authentic Korean culture.

It's beautiful place that I can feel deeply connected korean traditional olden day. Breakfast was fantastic with all homemade in special ingredients only can have there. I love to visit long stay for my body healing.

Perfect hanok experience. The host was super nice and made us very good breakfasts. Also, the house is really beautiful and quiet. Overall it was a very authentic and relaxing stay Even if it's not located in the immediate surroundings of the touristic spots of Gyeongju, it's rather easy to visit the town by bus and taxi. From the place it's however very convenient to hike to Namsan.

We arrived late by car and where greeted by our host. She showed us the beautiful Hanok, where to breakfast and where we could do laundry. In addition she walked us to a great restaurant so we wouldn't get lost on the way. On the next day we've got a traditional korean breakfast with organic food and went to explore the museum and the barrows of the villa period kings and queens. There are is a lot to see and to experience in the surroundings and there and we got a good guide from our host with recommendations. We've enjoyed our trip to Gyeonju very much and felt at home despite the long distance. If you ever make a trip to Korea you need to stay here for a few nights. It will be a memorable experience you shouldn't miss out.

“Truly healing and inspiring time in a wonderful environment”

Yasun is a wonderful host, she welcomed us with kindness and an open heart. She is a true artist, who had so much stories, memories and thoughts to share. We felt really inspired and our time spent here was healing and recharging. It was a great opportunity to sleep in traditional way on the floor, and my back pain was gone after my first night. Although the place is somewhat further from the city, it makes the environment truly calm and peaceful. You can feel close to nature, and truly experience the traditional house experience. We appreciate so much this amazing time we spent here! Thank you much Yasun! We hope to be back one day in the future :)

“Amazing cultural experience, even better hostess”

* hostess was amazing * upon arrival she prepared cake and tea * every morning different homemade Korean breakfast * a slight language barrier, but if you use a translation app it's easy to manage * the location is outside the city, we took a taxi there (they are cheap) * the hostess recommends and shows you to the local duck bulgogi restaurant, make sure to go! * as it's traditional you sleep on the heated floor, we went in March and found the room really warm. There is additional cushioning in the cupboard in case the floor is too hard (we used it) *the hostess helped us order a taxi each day

“Very nice Hanok style accommodation”

The setting of the Hanok style and very nice equipped accommodation. Jeong Hee is a very friendly and helpful host. The Korean style breakfast is every day a surprise, fresh made from Jeong Hee, we enjoyed it very much. We can recommend everyone to stay at Yasun Gallery to enjoy a real traditional accommodation. It needs some time to get used to sleep on the thin futons.
