This hanok is absolutely gorgeous - I loved the combination of traditional design with modern elements. Everything is very well maintained and cosy. The host is very attentive and will help you with anything at all. The location is slightly outside of the city hut I found it to be an advantage - peace, silence and the view of the mountains in front of you (and there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel). I enjoyed the stay very much and slept like a baby in this traditional setting.

“Excellent Hospitality in a Quiet and Beautiful Setting”

We had a wonderful stay at Gyeongju Hwarangroo. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Although the host didn’t speak English, he used a translation app to communicate and still made us feel incredibly at home. Upon check-in, we received a map of the area along with helpful tips on what to visit, when to go, and even where to park — which was incredibly useful. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing stay. We had seen in advance that we’d be sleeping on futons, and although we were a bit unsure at first, the mattresses turned out to be very comfortable — we slept really well. The room was thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail. You can tell a lot of care has gone into creating a pleasant and authentic atmosphere. The breakfast was pure luxury — beautifully presented and delicious, with a variety of fresh, local dishes that made the morning feel special. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to experience a calm, welcoming, and traditional stay in Gyeongju.

“Superb, quiet, very relaxing stay.”

The 한옥 was spectacular. It was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. All our necessities were met even when we had a young toddler. The host was nice, making lovely breakfast every all mornings that we were there. Will definitely stay here when we visit Gyeongju again. It was an amazing overall experience.

Super beautiful place, very traditional, when we arrived the host even gave us a map and noted a nice route to see all the tourist sites. Very welcoming and warm, great breakfast, and the perfect room nothing to complain about.

“Sweet traditional hanok stay!”

The hanok is a beautiful, traditional building, complete with modern amenities. Breakfast provided is great too.

It is a beautiful hanok building with good bus connection to gyeongju, a bit outside of town but it was peacefully quiet and a nice change to the loud capital. Spotless clean and completed with everything we needed for our stay. The host that greeted us and made us breakfast was just amazing. Breakfast was yummy and beautifully presented. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

We first thought we had made a mistake as the Hanok is outside of the town. When we arrived we passed also something that looked like under construction. But the cleanliness, comfort and friendliness made up for the out of town location. Also, they lex sites are still in walking distance (20 min). It was also very quiet. The owner was very helping and friendly too.

The room was beautiful, it was spotlessly clean and the staff could not have tried any harder to be helpful and accommodating (even though there was the inevitable language barrier). The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.
