Near attractions, staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English! Gave us each a welcome beer🍺 We got a family room for the 3 of us. Had ensuite toilet. Room has a single bed and a bunk bed. We didn’t eat the breakfast even though it was provided. Saved the calories to eat lots of lovely food along the streets.

Excellent location for exploring the historical sites of Gyeongju and to get buses to further afield. Not having to leave the dormitory to go to the bathroom.

One of the BEST hostels we've been in 8 months in Asia. True backpacker vibes. The staff is super friendly and cool, and speak great english in general. They have a SUPER good kitchen with plenty of utensils, one of the best I've found in years of travelling. The owner is a traveller too, and it shows A LOT. Plenty of details that a true traveller appreciates, like having free shared oil and salt in the kitchen, a rarity in Korea. I brought my parents to the hostel with me, and I am super super glad that they got as their first experience in a hostel to do it at Doobaki. In no time, they were making friends with some of the staff, and we all felt like at home. It was a wonderful experience, and I think most reviews don't show a true picture of the hostel. Rooms are clean and comfy, and warm, that in colder temperatures is appreciated. Our room had private bathroom with bathtub, which was great. 10/10

“Hostel in a great location in Gyeongju!”

It was in a good location which was close to the Main Street and all of the sights. The bedrooms had curtains which is great for privacy and there are bathrooms in the rooms which makes it easier to access when needed! Check in was pretty easy as well.

An excellent, clean hostel in a good location, with lovely staff. I struggled a little with the ladder to the upper bunk, otherwise everything was comfortable.

“Good vibes hostel, excellent price”

Staff were really friendly, it actually has a good vibe and encourages people chatting which is more than some of the other hostels I've stayed at. The location is pretty good for the historical sites and there are a load of good restaurants not far if you don't feel like cooking for yourself. The price was super cheap when I booked and more than worth every penny.
