With the 5.18 Democracy Square and related facilities nearby, it's the perfect environment for reflecting on democracy, atrocities, and resistance. At the same time, the Asian Cultural Center and trendy cafes are also close by, making it a bright and fashionable neighborhood. And of course, there's plenty to enjoy in terms of food.

“Cosy stay”

The guesthouse is a very cosy apartment. Super clean. The owner is really nice and answer fast to messages. Nice breakfast (bread, eggs, jam, tea, juice and coffee). There is a rooftop and a washing machine. The location is perfect. Very cute area with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Not far from bus terminals and easy access to Damyang bamboo forest and Mudeungsan.

Nice owner and a decent breakfast. Beds are comfy and the location is also good.

Very close to the Cultural Center, exceptional friendly host. We had a nice talk even if we don't speak the same language and she gave us information for sightseeing, even if we were just staying for one night. The best was the rooftop terrasse and the freely provided breakfast nutrition such as eggs, toast coffee etc. At the checkout day we were even allowed to store our stuff for a couple of hours. We felt warm welcomed in the hostel and would highly recommend a stay.

“Great hostel in a great part of Gwangju”

Very well set up Guesthouse in a fantastic location next to the Asia Cultural Centre and the coffee street. Very quiet (I was the only one there!) and a very pleasant experience!

It felt really cozy and is good value for money

I liked this place, near commodities, Asia Culture Center, markets, and you can do hiking in Mudeungsan Park. In this guesthouse, you have breakfast that you can prepare by yourself (coffee latte, tea, bread 🍞, eggs, etc.). That's pretty nice. In the beginning, there was no hot water; don't hesitate to ask the owner. She just turned the button (system electric water heater) to get hot water. I also liked the rooftop, amazing with a tea or coffee. Thank you.

Great location. Confortable and well equipped. Friendly staff! Stayed 2 nights and loved it.

The location is perfect since it's just across ACC (Asian Culture Centre) where a lot is happening - it's not too loud though. The accommodation itself if clean and has everything you need. The common area is great and the rooftop terrace is perfect. The owner is also very kind. The room is great in general and it was nice to have a "private" bathroom to the room.

The guesthouse is very clean, easily accessible and the room is very comfortable. The common area is also nice and you can easily store and cook food. The owner is super nice and if you can speak a little Korean, he will be very happy to talk with you!

“Conforting guesthouse”

The owner was really kind, she made me feel confortable as soon as I arrived. The room was big, I had enough place. The location was also perfect. I didn't know Gwangju so when I booked I thought I might be a little bit far from everything but it is actually well located.

Place has a homey vibe and delivers on the basics of comfort and cleanliness. Host Panda Mom even took the initiative to message me to ask what time I am arriving and was responsive to my every message. Had a good stay that I ended up extending for one more night. It is located on the 3rd floor of a building that is close to busy streets for food and shopping.

“Perfect place for my stay in Gwangju”

The lady who owns this guesthouse is very kind and caring. She has a great place: cosy and neat. I could use the kitchen, and she makes sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The bedroom was very comfortable and a lots of cosmetic products and equipment were at disposal. I could leave my luggage at the optician's shop after my check out because my flight was in the evening. A very good place that I recommend a 100% and would definitely come back on my next visit to Gwangju.

“Don't book during rain season: cockroaches”

Very central location, nice living area (no sofa but there were two benches) and kitchen. Washing your clothes costs 5000won, you dry your clothes by hanging them on the roof which has a very nice view. Our room (4p) had its own bathroom which was nice. No bedlights but there were two plugs right next to your bed. Unlimited (small) towels.
