A great host, beautiful alpine landscapes and appartments with jacuzzi and traditional breakfasts/dinners provided...

The home cooked food was amazing and most of it locally produced. It was all very clean and well thought out. Hot tub was an added bonus.

Easy to reach, parking, kind and helpful host. Perfect accommodation for 1-2 days of exploring, clean and tidy. Garden in front of the house for relaxing, eating or chatting.

Confortable apartment with jacuzzi. Clean and well equipped. Nice terrace with beautiful garden. Free parking space. Excellent homemade breakfast. I would also suggest homemade lunch or dinner prepared by the owners. Host and his family are extremely kind and helpful. I do highly recommend this property.

“Vila Merak”

The host Elvis was nice, kind and gentle, perfect waiter and cook. Food was fantastic we were completely full after each course. We liked the house very much. We had a very big pool with bubbles. Matěj ( 12 years old )

I must apologise in advance for the long read, but I’m simply overflowing with enthusiasm after our wonderful stay at Vila Merak 🙂 We arrived at Vila Merak on Friday evening by car and were warmly welcomed by Elvis, the friendly and attentive host. He made sure we settled in comfortably. Dinner was a real treat - fragrant soup with fresh lavash, delicious stuffed cabbage rolls with homemade cheese and vegetables, all served in beautiful, vintage-style metal dishes right in our villa. Breakfast was just as delightful, featuring homemade pastries. We even bought a kilo of fresh cow’s cheese to take home - it was that good! Our room was cosy and spacious, decorated in a charming rustic style, with a double bed, two singles, a kitchen with a dining table, and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen had everything we needed: a small stove, microwave, and fridge. We especially loved the veranda attached to our room, complete with a dining table, a comfy lounge area, and a heated jacuzzi with a wine glass holder - just perfect for relaxing! The terrace offered breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains - a sight even seasoned Montenegro travellers would appreciate. 😎 The large, well-kept grounds in front of the villa featured a barbecue, neat wooden tables and chairs, and a small playground for children. On hot days, you can cool off in the inflatable pool or lounge under a parasol. Vila Merak is just a hundred metres from the P9 road, which runs from Plavsko jezero along Gusinje towards Albania, but it’s wonderfully peaceful - the occasional car barely disturbs the tranquillity. What really stood out to us was the perfect blend of peace, stunning scenery, and comfort! We’re already dreaming of coming back in autumn to spend more unforgettable days in this cosy haven surrounded by beautiful nature.

“Cosy place with great view and food”

We stayed in the big apartment with private jacuzzi and it was amazing! The apartment is old, but it's clean and has all the needed facilities. The view from the guarden is awesome. Elvis is a very friendly host and a good chef, he made us very nice breakfast and diner with local ingredients! We asked for vegetarian diners and we got great food! We would definitely recommend this place if you want to visit Prokletije National Park. Relaxing in the private jacuzzi after a challenging hike was amazing ;)

Breakfast and diner were very good. All homemade food prepared by the host. Nice location from where we could make all our trips. big garden and good fun for the children. Elvis was very friendly and extremely helpfull with everything. He made our stay in Gusinje fantastic.

“It's a great place for a vacation.”

A great place to relax as a couple or with friends. It was just the two of us in the whole villa. The host is the best. The breakfasts are great. The option to ask to cook lunch/dinner is perfect. Imagine being able to walk down to the first floor in your pajamas and have a perfectly cooked dinner waiting for you. Quite a unique option, owners should focus on it. If I am not mistaken, dinner for one person turned out to be around 20 euros. If you ask for drinks (they offer wine/beer), it will be a bit more expensive, but still it is a great price/quality.

The staff was very attentive. Breakfast was good. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful. Good facilities.

The room is new and nice. It is small (I took appartment for 2 persons) but definitely enough for 1 or 2 persons. Clean bathroom, good small terrace with mountain view. The breakfast was great and big, thank you, Elvis! :)

We really liked the house, it was cozy with a great jacuzzi and beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast made of local products was very tasty. The owner was friendly and responsive and recommended a great route for us with amazing views!

Beautiful location. Nice and confy apartments in rustic style. Breakfast was very good, domestic cuisine and optional lunch. Perfect place for family and those looking for peace sorrunded by amazing nature.

Vila Merak is a really nice place, very quiet and peacefully. Although outside was really hot weather inside the apartment because of its great isolation the temperature was pleasant and we were even wearing our hoodies. There is a nice garden, and I enjoyed seeing little goats and chickens.
