Best location!! Best people!! Cosy!! Clean!! Good food!!

The owners, Issac and Dani are such lovely hosts, big hearted and went out of their way to make us feel at home! The food was delicious and in generous portions, warm food, mountain teas after long hikes was just what we needed! A generous breakfast was also prepared with piping hot coffee n tea every morning. The price of the cabin was value-for-money. The duvet and blankets were well appreciated as the temperatures dipped during this change of season.

What delightful hosts. Everything was done with a smile. The huts are comfortable with plenty of hot water and the place has magnificent Mountain views. It was easy to find and had good communication. We had delicious filling breakfasts and evening meals - just what was needed for walking in the mountains. The place isn’t far from the Peaks of the Balkans trail. We spent 3 nights here and didn’t use our car. We had perfect weather too which always helps!

“Heartwarming place in Vusanje”

They were so helpful! My friend wasn't feeling well, so they helped us with everything - blankets, tea and honey, and finally found a taxi for us because we couldn't hike the next day. Really amazing people!

Katun Prokletije is a beautiful peaceful place to stay and explore the mountains and the breathtaking nature. But what is even more extraordinary is the people of Vusanje and Gusinje. “A lovely place to stay in Vusanje”

As far as guesthouses on the Peaks of the Balkans trail this rates as one of the best. The cabins were spacious and clean. The food was good and plentiful and the owner incredibly friendly and accommodating.

“Nice cottages in a wonderful location”

Excellent location at the entrance to the Ropojana Valley, stunning views right after stepping out of the cottage. A settlement of cottages run by helpful and friendly hosts. You can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner on-site.

The family running the place are so friendly. They speak English, French and Polish (the host's wife is Polish). Our cabin was clean and had a tiled floor, comfortable beds and mattresses, warm duvets, nightstands, a wardrobe, a spacious bathroom with a shower (hot water available all the time) and plenty of coat hooks. The meals, served at the restaurant and cooked by the hostess, were delicious, simple, substantial and reasonably priced. I had stayed in the katun last August for almost a week and was pleased to be able to return this June for another three days. The area is great for hiking the trails and peaks around the Grebaje and Ropojana valleys, including Buni i Jezercës.

We liked everything: perfect location, great accomodation, and a very friendly and knowledgeable host. The food was also excellent.

We arrived after a hike in the national park and were welcomed by the host. Because we were there just before winter, we anticipated that it would be difficult to have some food in the evening, but they were so nice to open the restaurant just for us! The food was great.

A perfect place to stay after a long hike. The huts are super cute and the bathrooms brand-new with hot water! The huts have no heater but you can ask for extra blankets and heater. The hosts are 11/10! I got sick and they brought me selfmade herbal tea and food I could eat and I felt well cared for. Because I was to weak to hike after the flu my partner and I asked for a taxi to Shkodra and they were so nice to give us a lift. We were so thankful for that! We would definitely come back!

“Ideal for a hiking trip.”

I arrived after a long hike from Valbona, and was welcomed by Danute, who is charming and friendly. In no time I had a beer in my hand and a generous plate for lunch. The cabin was bigger than I expected and the hot water was perfect. They offered drop-off and pick-up for a day trip to Grebaje valley and breakfast was also great. Really, I can only recommend this place and thank the staff for a lovely stay during my hiking trip.
