Gulhi is a small, cozy island that lives at its own leisurely pace; tourists haven't yet spoiled its authenticity and charm. The Sandy Haven Hotel fits right in with this atmosphere. It's definitely seen its best days, probably one of the first such ventures on the island, but paradoxically, this is now its greatest asset. Its architecture doesn't disrupt the character of the street and surroundings, it belongs to the island. Our room offered virtually everything a beachgoer could expect: a good shower, beach towels, solid air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. The traditional décor (stone wall) and beautiful night lamps made from coconuts are an added bonus. The reception desk goes above and beyond to meet guests' expectations. Mr. Saif - thanks a lot 🙏🏻. The swimming area in Gulhi is highly recommended - azure water with easy and safe access. The only restaurant in Gulhi also offers the best crisps in the world - freshly baked, huge, thin potato flakes that heavenly crack in your mouth 😋.

The room was nice. The staff was excellent. So close to the beach it was great.

Staff were friendly and helpful with our bags to and from the ferry, offered room cleaning daily and restocked us with coffee supplies and water. Beds were comfy

“A perfect stay that made us feel at home!”

Our experience with Sandy Heaven was what made Gulhi island and the Maldives so special. The staff is extremely kind and very helpful. They arranged the tours for us and the ferry bringing us from and to the airport. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Its a very short distance to the beach and the breakfast was great! You have some options to choose from and you also get fresh fruit and juice. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Salina and Saif, the hardworking reception staff that made us feel at home and well looked after! On top of that a big thank you to Nyone, our guide for the snorkling trips. He made sure that we could see some beautiful sea wildlife and helped us a lot during snorkling. We recommend the hotel to everyone!

This hotel is a very cute and comfortable hotel. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Saif and his staff are very kind, speak very well English and take very good care of their guests.

They were super friendly and helpful with everything!! We asked if we could have any trip organised and even through it was for the same day and last minute request they managed to organise it within minutes. Tasty and complete breakfast everyday. Overall a great experience.

“Sandy Heaven Hotel”

Thanks to Salina and Saif for making our first time in the Maldives unforgettable. The hotel is very cute, very Maldivian style with little details that make your stay very special. There is the choice of a nice Maldivian breakfast as well as other choices. Location is just perfect as well

The price of this hotel is similar to what we booked on Maafushi Island, but it differs greatly in terms of service, infrastructure, and problem-solving methods! 1.Check in We paid the front desk with Rufiyaa, but she left after taking the money. Still, the guy, who helped us carry our luggage, came in and told us she was going to exchange the money for us. 2. Hot Water After checking in, I started taking a shower and found that there was no hot water. The hot water button was particularly high, accessible only to a 1.8-meter-tall man, and there were also unknown yellow stains on the glass door... As a result, we couldn't reach the front desk either, so the guy who was carrying our luggage, opened it for us. 3. Electricity During my bath, the power kept shutting down and restoring power. We went out to take photos around 6:30 PM, but the power and hot water were still not fixed. She promised to fix it when we got back after dinner, but when we returned in the evening, there was still a power outage. The guy who was carrying luggage, listened attentively as we recounted the details. But the front desk staff was impatient and mean throughout the process. 4. Attitude Toward Solving Problems The front desk was dismissive of our attitude throughout, laughing and joking. She was still making video calls at work, and said it wasn't her problem, thinking we didn't understand English? The guy who was carrying luggage, called their manager, who also believed that solving the hot water and electricity issues was sufficient without any compassion. Under our negotiations, the manager agreed to refund us if there is still a power outage tonight. 5. Refunds Just as we were getting ready to sleep around 11 o'clock, the power went out again, leaving the entire second floor without electricity. We booked a new hotel overnight. The next morning, we negotiated a refund with the manager. Our total order price was $176.

Room was nice and clean. Could do with a fridge to keep drinks cold. Bed was comfortable.

“Amazing staff but room needs maintenance”

The location is awesome very close to Bikini Beach (but the island is also super small). The staff is super super nice and helpful and always available. The breakfast is nice with local options as well.

Everything is good, especially Saif is very helpful！ Highly recommendation！

“Clean accommodation with a nice breakfast next to the beach”

Clean and big room (we were changed to a family room due to a system error). The personnel was really kind and the breakfast options were nice. The location was great, as it was just a few meters from the bikini beach. We greatly appreciated the possibility of checking in earlier and leaving our luggage free of cost the last day for a couple of hours.

I was at Sandy for 6 nights. Location of hotel is excellent- it's 1 minute walking from Bikini beach. My room was very good and very clean. The breakfast had 3 options - I tried every option available and all of them were very good. I definitly would go again if I am at Gulhi again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They offered allot of excursions.

Saif and the other employees were the nicest people we’ve talked to in a hotel! They really made our stay unforgettable and really comfortable. We had everything we needed and got really helpful tips for Maldives in general! Thank you so much. Will definitely recommend the place!

Staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, loved the Mas Huni! Island is delightful and we were super close to the tourist beach
