The Inn itself is very spacious, the location is perfect, right in the center of the old town with all attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The owner was super nice and helpful (-Mr. Masa picked us up from the bus station), and we have had a late check-out. Really good!

Loved the authenticity of the home, loved it's looks and atmosphere, the location and absolutely adored the host! A wonderfully attentive man, even came to get us from the bus stop!

“A truly wonderful stay”

I had wanted to visit Gujo for many years, and it truly was worth it. The house is in a great location on a very beautiful street. We stayed for a few days and now have wonderful memories. We now would love to return to see the summer festival and also winter scenery! The host Masa-san was amazingly helpful. Communication was great and he happily met us at an earlier time to allow us to drop off our luggage when we arrived by bus. He gave us many recommendations and made a restaurant reservation for us at a busy restaurant. The house is beautiful and includes everything you need with a modern bathroom. I cannot recommend this enough.

Everything. The location, the house itself, our incredibly amazing and welcoming host, the locals, the town, it was truly unforgettable and a memory I’ll keep with me forever.

Above and beyond friendliness and authentic local experience in the heart of Gifu. Although friendly to tourists still a relatively off the beaten track location so great to visit this historic town and take a relaxing break. The property is in the centre of town nearby plenty of shrines/temples and a short walk to the castle. The veranda overlooks the river and nearby temple so lovely to sit in the morning and evening and enjoy the quiet only interrupted intermittently by the soft chime of temple bells. The house is old fashioned but has plenty of mod-cons such as air conditioning etc. The layout included two rooms tatami rooms upstairs and a living room, kitchen, shower/bath room, toilet downstairs. Plenty of space for our group of two couples. Sleeping was on futons and there was also a kotatsu to relax in before bed. The castle is also visible from the upstairs front window.

Masa-san is friendly and helpful. He picked us up from the bus interchange on arrival and also sent us to train station on day of departure.

The house was very traditional and the street it was on was amazing, the water flowing through the town is one of the most peaceful experiences ever. Masa the host is the best I've ever had, he pointed out activities and events in the town and made a reservation for us for dinner. Ill definitely come again

“Amazing rural Japanses property”

Amazing host, greeted us and explained about the local attractions and food options. The house was amazing, very authentic and rustic, feeling the old Japan. Even on 1st floor have floor hearing for cold times! Have a terrace with amazing view. Location is amazing, all is 15 minutes walk and the property located in an old Edo like street.

House is perfectly located and gives opportunity to have a very authentic experience of living in Japan. Interiors are pretty yet comfortable and the back garden view on river is cool. The host is very kind and helpful. Masa spent a lot of time to pick us up and then drive us to bus stop. He explained everything about the house and area and even helped us make a reservation at local izakaya. We are very grateful for his kindness.

It was an experienced stay. The house is Japanese-style and the owner was very kind. He gave interested information about the city and He even picked and dropped us at the Gujo Hachiman IC bus stop.

I loved every aspect of my staying at the Nomad Inn! Masa is an outstanding host. Knowing that I was in town for the Gujo Odori Festival, he introduced me to one of the dancers and helped me having a memorable experience. He also recommended many different places to eat and visit and assisted me with the transportation of my very heavy luggage. I really wish to go back one day and have more time to enjoy his well-equiped and cozy house! I will never forget my short - but incredible - stay at this beautiful place.

“Traditional peaceful place with great host”

The house is in the historic center, in an beautiful street next to the river. Masa, the host, was super kind and helpful. We had a great time in Gujo, I totally recommend it

The house and location are fantastic. Gujo-Hachiman is a beautiful city, and the home was perfect for what we needed. It felt like being inside someone's family home. Masa went well above and beyond to help us - there was heavy rain overnight which caused landslides on the main exits from the city. Masa found a route we could take, and guided us over an hour in his car so we could leave (Google maps kept telling us to go on closed roads) so we would likely have been stuck without his help. Thanks again!

A wonderful stay at a classic Japanese house! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything about the home and the city of Gujo. He also gave us an excellent recommendation for a local izakaya, which was the perfect spot for dinner. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and personal experience!
