“Perfect hotel in Guilin”

One of the best hotels i’ve ever stayed in - modern rooms, perfect location close to the city by Didi/bike but away from the noise. Michelle is unbelievably helpful and will book attractions for you. Can’t recommend enough!

“Welcoming Family by the Creek”

Location wise, perfect. The ambiece of the inn is excellent especially the staff. I am happy Michelle, the owner communicated to me through Whatsapp ahead of my arrival. It is a family team with her brother Su and sister Xiao lan. Food is great and my room has the panoramic view of Guilin hills (as I intended). Super amazing service and facilities. With Michelle helping me with my unplanned tour for the next day. Truly recommended place. There is a lagoon or creek you can walk around and the view is stunning, day and night. They also offer body massage at affordable rates. The beer is very cheaper yet tastes great. Breakfast has 2 choices, the Chinese menu and international taste. I never had problem with payments. Visa card is accepted. Still I downloaded WeChat App for everyday use (linked to my bank) which is convenient for everyday pay wherever you go, small and big enterprises alike. For shorter than 3 day stay you can arrange with Michelle a taxi at the airport to pick you up for 100Chinese Yuan. It is nice to stay in a hotel that has your full attention and love and care. Let alone even a little English the staff can communicate.

I like the interaction with Michelle, the owner, she replied to all my questions and concerns before arrival, very friendly and she is a business owner. There's two set breakfast meals only, there's some orange juice and lemon water and coffee made by the staff. I didn't tried the lunch menus because I've been out every day but I had evening meals 3-4 times which were delicious

Beautiful place that makes you feel you're at home rather than in a hotel. Michelle is an amazing host always available to arrange anything for you. She helped me not only organize trips and taxis, but also get a local sim card in the middle of a bank holiday! The cuisine us delicious, rooms very clean. The location is beautiful, but you need a bike, scooter or a taxi to go downtown. But bikes and scooters are available free of charge!

Michelle and the rest of the staff at the Village Creek Inn really made the stay in Guilin so much better. They helped us with our day trips, showed us the local area and even helped one of us when we were feeling unwell. The location of this inn is a little out of the way but suited us fine as we could get taxis/the hotel driver to drop us off at the ports and train station really easily and the area was really quiet and homely with amazing views. The rooms were very clean and spacious and we ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner every day of our stay and we're very satisfied with their vegetarian options.

“Gorgeous boutique hotel with lovely owners”

This really is the most lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We only stayed one night before our Li River cruise but Michelle and her sister and brother were so welcoming. Our room was just lovely, so homely and the bed was really comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel and the hand made spring rolls were the best we’ve had in China. Beautiful location to walk along the river.

“Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful stay with a view”

Michelle and the team bring a lot of joy and energy with a very personal approach. The location was tranquil, we could use the very good bicycles from the accommodation and they offered a fun dumpling making class which was interesting and delicious! The team also helped us arrange day trips from the location. It was somewhat located from the city center by taxi or bike but they had everything we needed with home cooked meals and a nice view from the room.

We had a very pleasant stay for three nights. The staff, two sisters, were very helpful with advice for places to visit but also with the use of some Chinese apps. We were upgraded as it was low season to a karge room. They also run a restaurant and you can get a drink (beer/wine/non-alcohol)

Me and my family stayed here for 3 nights and this was our favourite hotel of our 3 week trip! The views from this hotel are incredible and we had such a lovely experience. Michelle let us check in early as it was low season and we were so grateful after doing a sleeper train with our toddler. Michelle and the team were so friendly and great with our toddler! They had a little play area that he loved in the hotel and we ate dinner here must nights after being out all day. Also the Reed flute caves are about a 10 minute walk away (not even that) and the hotel sorted out so many things for us to do. PS - If you have dinner here, you MUST have the spring rolls, they were the best in China!

Very nice staff and location, the dumpling class was very nice and had a lot of fun.

Despite the language barriers, I particularly appreciate the staff who was friendly and helpful in arranging pickup and extra your activities, which within them it would be impossible. The accomodation is outside Gulin’s city centre, just a 15 minutes Didi’a drive. I’ve appreciated the peaceful environment and the rural atmosphere outside the hotel. Room was very spacious with great view on the iconic mountains of Guilin. Breakfast was ok.

“Amazing and cozy place”

Guilin village creek is an amazingly friendly and cozy place to stay. It's situated in a tiny quiet town and the inside feels like a Swiss cottage. Michelle and her team were extremely welcoming. With tea and fruit on arrival, always there to help out with booking trips, giving dumpling workshops, guiding us around on the local market, making delicious meals, providing us with meds when our son got sick one night. And much more. The room was cozy and cleaned every day. It was winter when we were there, but the heating system made it nice and comfortable. The meals in the restaurant downstairs are fresh and made with a lot of love. And we could even borrow the owners bikes with kids seats for free, with which we made some amazing bike rides through the area. You're half an hour bike ride away from the city. And with a taxi (very cheap) you can reach several interesting places in the bigger area.
